Another successful Saturday for Carmel CC, with the First XI earning a hard-fought tie and the Second XI producing a dominant victory.

It was an intense contest throughout, with neither side giving an inch, and 8 points earned in dramatic fashion. π WEEKEND ROUND-UP | Another Perfect Weekend for Carmel CC! ππ€
Three winning weekends on the bounce and another brilliant weekend for Carmel CC, with both senior sides continuing their excellent form.
The First XI picked up their 9th win in the last 10 league games, keeping themselves firmly in the Division Two title race. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Carmel were made to work hard by a competitive Brymbo side. A superb 138-run partnership for the second wicket between Manee Nissanka (86) and Ben Sim (62) laid the platform, rotating the strike well and punishing anything loose without ever letting Brymbo gain control. Maneeβs outstanding season continued with his 6th half-century of the campaign, before the bowlers sealed a deserved 35-run victory, led by AJ (3/27) and Manee (3/21).
The Second XI made it three consecutive victories with another outstanding all-round team performance. Captain Dan Stuchfield led from the front with a classy unbeaten 80*, well supported by Ranj Appuhamy (42) as Carmel posted a strong total. The bowlers then backed it up brilliantly, with Ranj (2/17) and Dafydd Timothy (2/20) helping restrict Llanrwst to secure a comfortable 40-run win.
A huge thank you to everyone who continues to support the club. With both teams building momentum, thereβs plenty to play for as we head into the closing weeks of the season.
