Tough one to take this morning in a game in blustery conditions against Winlaton
A couple of early chances, one where Theo was one on one with the keeper but shot wide, a couple of good crosses into the box just missing someone connecting on the other side. Throughout the first half we didn’t really face any threat from our opponents as Jake and Rohan in defence stopped any attacks. Bobby saw a free kick tipped over the bar and Jake heading just over the bar from a corner. We went into half time 0-0 despite doing enough to be a goal or two up
Second half followed a similar pattern, a lot of the play, good opportunities but lacking the finish. Maxwell, Bobby and Oliver saw shots well saved by the keeper, Bobby hitting the bar from a corner and Theo hitting the post. Frustratingly it was Winlaton who managed to find the winner from outside the box when one of their few shots went in just out of the reach of Piggsy, game finished 1-0 to Winlaton and we look back on the chances we’ve had and should have taken all 3 points based on the game. Just need to find the back of the net!
The end of the game saw what looked like a nasty injury to Rohan, we hope to get an update soon and wish him well.

Jake didn’t put a foot wrong today, swept up in defence well, stopped Winlaton creating many chances and was confortabke and calm carrying the ball from defence into midfield and starting attacks. Well done Jake 👏
