Today we play host to the 13th Annual Crabtree 8-a-side Cricket Competition. The bar is open from 11am onwards as five local teams, including our very own Cavaliers, compete for the prestigious title. All very much welcome - please do pop down if you can

Come down to the Sports Field on Sunday 30th August for a Bank Holiday Weekend cricketing bonanza, as the Crabtree Cavaliers take on a Wicking XI in a charity match in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. First ball around 2.30pm. Bar open before, during, and after the match. Teas/cakes available by donation at the interval and a barbecue afterwards. Lovely stuff - see you there!

250 Club Membership
Want to be in with a chance to win £500 cash?

For just £10 you can purchase a 'half year' ticket to take part in the Lower Beeding Association's 250 Club and help support our ambitious football pitch improvement programme, as well as being in with a shout of winning some big money prizes.

Full year tickets are £20 and give you entry into both the June and December draws but, as there are a few unsold, we are opening up membership for the December 2026 draw. These are limited in number so don't delay!

250 Club - Lower Beeding Association For just £20 you can take part in the Lower Beeding Association's 250 Club and help support our ambitious football pitch improvement programme, as well as being in with a shout of winning some big money prizes.

Very exciting news to bring you: the Lower Beeding Association has been successful in it's application to the Football Foundation and has been granted access to it's Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund!

This means that we be able to undertake an extensive 6-year programme of works to improve the quality of our football pitches (which cover virtually the entirety of the sports field), leading to a better, more resilient, playing surface and securing the viability of the field for sports usage for the next generation.

In total, there could be up to £42,000 spent over the next six years, of which the LBA will need to contribute around £14,000. This makes fund-raising through the 250 Club ever more important (the 250 Club was originally founded in the 1960s to raise funds to establish the sports field). More details on how you can get involved with this to follow in the coming days.

We're super grateful to the Football Foundation and can't wait to get started on creating a field that the whole village can be proud of.
