What a way to finish the season! 🙌🏏
The Philadelphia Ladies played their final league game tonight and walked off the pitch with their heads held high. Batting, bowling, and fielding were all on top form, showing a massive improvement since their last game against Seaham Park Cricket Club Ladies & Girls earlier this year. 💥
Some of tonight's highlights:

* 🎯 A fabulous wicket bowled by Emily!

Everyone played absolutely brilliantly. Wholehearted congratulations to Seaham Park Ladies for their win tonight which takes them to the top of the league. What a great bunch of lasses who thoroughly deserve the top spot! 🏆👏

It wasn’t our game today against Eppleton, but as always the aim is having fun 🫶Some great positives to take away but untimely conceded too many wickets and struggled to prevent boundaries from their big hitters!

Always a pleasure to play against Eppleton, even if they are happy to see our nails ripped off 🤣💅Some great sportsmanship subbing on for the opposing team for injuries 🤝 love to see it 🫶Well played ladies Eppleton Cricket Club

🏏🏏MEGAFEST 2026!🏏🏏
What a pleasure it was to play at the Riverside Grounds today hosted by Durham Cricket Foundation.
Our Philadelphia ladies had so much fun today and came 3rd in the MEGAFEST shield league.

Our Ladies are playing for the first time in Megafest at Banks Homes Riverside tomorrow 🏏

Organised by Durham Cricket Foundation, we will be playing for the Megafest Shield with Silksworth, Peterlee, Stockton, Whickham and Langley Park & Bearpark.
Some new teams for us to meet as well as teams we’ve had the pleasure of games against before 👏🏼

As it’s our ladies first time playing on the Durham Riverside ground, we’re sure it’ll be a day to remember!

Tonight Philadelphia_cc_ladies played East Rainton Cricket Club @ Eppleton. Batting first, we faced some seriously fast bowlers - Lisa and Rachel put on an amazing batting display and overall only two wickets were conceded.

With the ball, Emily and Rachel both claimed two wickets, including a fantastic boundary catch from Mel and a brilliant catch from Charlie, who was described as having “leapt like a salmon”! 🐟👏 Kat and Rachel also both bowled maidens!

Emily and Jill had a fantastic debut, sharing the responsibility of wicketkeeping — what a great job from both of them! 🩵👏

Although we doubled East Rainton’s wickets, they smashed sixes out of the park for fun and ultimately took the victory. Congratulations, East Rainton! 👏

Thank you for a great match, and a big thank you to Will for umpiring for us.

🏏🏏 What an amazing day of women’s cricket at Philadelphia Cricket Club!🏏🏏
After a rainy start and plenty of cloud watching, we were delighted to see the weather clear and our Women’s Softball Festival go ahead!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to play, support and help make the day so special. From players and umpires to scorers, volunteers, children and families — every single person played a part, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
A special thank you to Jill and Lindsay for organising our first Women’s Festival at Philadelphia Cricket Club. What a fantastic success! 👏🏻
It was brilliant to bring together newly formed and well-established teams, creating a relaxed and welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy the game we all love. It was fantastic to see players developing, building confidence and stepping outside their comfort zones while enjoying a great day of cricket and camaraderie.
🏆 Congratulations to our festival winners, Seaham Park Cricket Club Ladies & Girls A fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved. Well played! 👏🏻
