One year I will actually make myself a themed birthday cake but I went with a few of my favourites to cover this tray instead.

Maltesars, minstrels and Kinder and it cost £6.40 😮

We are all aware of the increased 🍫chocolate prices💰but do you know why?

70% of the worlds cocoa supply comes from Ghana and Ivory Coast in Africa.
Rising temperatures and changes in rainfall means some of the cocoa crops are destroyed or damaged… in turn resulting in less cocoa therefore higher prices or ‘shrinkflation’. (We all have our choc treat that shrunk in the wash and now you eat 2… or is that just me ? 🤔)

So…. please be kind to your baker/ bakery the next time you see a chocolate cake you require to take out a loan for 😆

Such a lucky girl celebrated her birthday early with a surprise trip to London which included afternoon tea at Charlie and the chocolate factory and a visit to Hamleys.
I was told by her mum it was all a complete surprise until the actual day… how amazing is that ! 💖

For my nephews 16th he was hoping for a cake based on his favourite film.
I hadn’t seen it so had no idea how I was going to execute this one but 48 hours before his birthday we had movie night 🎬🍿🎦

Yes i knowwww… cutting it fine but it worked and Kian loved it 🥰

Sometimes I get a little carried away and this was one of those occasions but it worked and was worth it!

Yes power rangers is on Fortnite… it’s a ‘skin’ whatever they are 🤣

I’ve had a very hands on weekend with 4 cakes on order and I am so pleased with them all 😊 and can’t wait to share!

Sometimes I can be my own worst critic but this time… yep I’m blowing my own trumpet 🎺

So cake number 1 was actually bigger than I had an anticipated but who’s going to mumble at extra cake 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was 3 layers (9”x 9” square) of chocolate sponge with vanilla buttercream.

I made everything! Such a proud feeling when I start to fill my camera roll with numerous possible shots of every angle 😂… but here are the ones I like the best

My lovely customer has kindly agreed for me to share the amazing birthday set up which all went together brilliantly 👌🏻

TIP OF THE DAY: You can freeze any left overs ⤵️ (if there is such a thing 😉)

• Cut remaining cake into portions
• wrap well in cling film
• pop into sealable tub
• store in the freezer for up to 3 months
• take out of freezer 1-2 hours before serving
