Just of late I was so impressed at finding a FREE BACON, but this I'm afraid was short lived as I won't be buying let alone eating anymore.
I haven't actually eaten bacon for quite a while since reading an article in the (2015) about known chemicals such as NITRATES that are a known cause of , colon Cancer in particular. Only I might have to pass on it even still because the packaging is no better. The bacon is laying on PLASTIC 😱.


Black plastic can not be recycled so that's just bad news and so unkind to the environment

No wonder we are a sugar Nation, almost EVERYTHING has SUGAR in it..I have just been in my cupboards and fridge to bin anything that has ADDED SUGAR as I have decided for health reasons that it's best to give up all ADDED SUGAR COMPLETELY. Just an update of me and a client jogging along the seafront yesterday Sunday 26th November, and what a lovely day it was to.πŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒπŸƒ


I may have been away from my posts for a while but I'm still training. This is one of my latest runs that I thought I would share with you. Anyone want to share what they have been up to lately training wise??


Yummy....Violetta purple potatoes with pesto butter with wheatberries, lentils and green vegetables...


Even though autumn is upon us, it's still nice to enjoy a tasty salad with nuts, seeds, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Any ideas what else I could have with it in the way of carbs and protein? Anyone...? 😊


As the cold weather approaches lets stock up on essential nutrients to help keep our immune systems strong and healthy so we can fight off cold and flu virus. Especially vitamin C found in fruits and vegetables with highest levels found in dark coloured fruit such as blueberries. This is my breakfast, so what a fantastic start to the day.


A fun day out with Basak. We took to the road and cycled to Dymchurch and back on a glorious day. We enjoyed conversations about health and lifestyle choices and took some lovely photos. We stopped in Dymchurch for a coffee and bite to eat before cycling back. Thanks Basak for your company, let's go again soon. 😍


My 5k run in Gloucester this morning for Cancer Research UK Race for Life.


A few tips when you go out running...

If you can, find a running buddy so that you can help motivate and encourage each other on the shared journey.
Wear the right gear to protect against weather conditions. i.e rain, wind or sunscreen and wear some good trainers.
Fuel your system before you set out and take water with you as this is critical to get you where you want to go.
Always take your phone in case of difficulty should it arise.

Good evening to everyone reading my post. :)
I'm so sorry to say this but I'm going to have to cancel my Bootcamp before it even started. This is because I could not please everyone as to which day we should train. I even thought of running Bootcamp on two days of the week to try and please everyone but I don't think that will work either. I did ask for likes and comments on my page so that I could respond and act accordingly but had very little response.
I do apologise to the very few of you that did comment. I hope you will find ways to keep up your fitness.


Congratulations Julie for completing a second 8k run today without stopping once. We only just completed your 5k run a couple of weeks ago. It's so nice to know that we got there in the end through hard work and sheer determination.
Do you know what this means now? It means that we can run the 5k Glow in the Park at the end of April and I have just booked us in for the Folkestone Coastal 10k at the end of May which we have both agreed, so I'm just letting you know that I got the tickets this afternoon so its back to training. I'm so proud of you.


Would Monday or Wednesday be better for training than on the Friday????

Finally! we have some pretty flowers to help cheer us up and even though it's still quite chilly there's no excuse for not getting outside and enjoying an activity i.e walking, jogging, hill climbing or bike riding.(the list is endless), However, let's not forget to wrap up and keep warm and let's take it in our stride to become fitter and healthier.


Always listen to your body when this moment happens. It's a possible sign that all is not well. For example you may have overworked all your muscles by not letting them recover and pushed them too far and therefore fatigue occurs forcing you to take a rest. Do listen and take that rest to prevent further damage . I would rather have one day off than weeks or months to recover fully before I can train again. 19/02/2017

I'm thinking about Bootcamp on the Hythe Green again this spring (End of April). I have been asked by several people and clients who participated in the past and my answer to this is YES, I would love to help you all but need to know who really wants to come along every week and carry out an exercise session for an hour at a reasonable cost. The session can be for beginners in addition to people already exercising and this is so that newbies to the group can go at their own pace whilst those already exercising can be encouraged to work harder. There is definitely something for everyone and the goal here is to have fun while exercising and socialising within the group in the hope that general health, fitness and well being can be improved. Obviously the more the merrier, so if you would like to be notified of this event I would need you to leave your name and telephone/mobile number on my website on the contacts page so that I can call you nearer the time and let you know when we begin. Also what evening would best suit you? We did Fridays 6pm due to this being the end of the week and I think this is a good evening because you can always cram in a quick session before your night out to make you feel good. I have to train to stay fit and healthy. I can't afford to miss a session because if I do I will only feel regret that I didn't do it. So I smile and mentally prepare myself for the task ahead and tell myself all is good. Because I know that after my session I’m a winner....πŸ€—


It's that time of the year when all hell breaks out because we have caught a cold virus or flu ect. But don't despair increase your intake of vitamin C and ease up on your activity so that the immune system can help fight off the offending virus. Most of all stay positive as this can affect the overall outcome of how quickly you recover.


Feeling tired but pushing on. Maintaining a positive attitude with healthy goals in mind. One of my goals is to run at the weekend again with Mand and complete a 10k and I'm hoping to book up a couple of runs for the spring and Summer. What are your goals? πŸ˜‰


Wow!!!!! Get in !!!!!

What a nice day it was for an 8K run that soon turned into a 12K with my friend Mand. We ran side by side all the way chatting as you do without even thinking about how far we had gone although Mands Polar watch kept us up to date on the Kilometres travelled, which when it said 6K we thought we had better turn back. At about 8K it started to shower but that was okay because we needed cooling down a bit, A good time I thought for a bit of H.I.I.T (high intensity interval training) so we did 4 rounds before hanging in there for the last 2K with rain becoming heavier. Don't forget the plan was for an 8K run. But "Get in" we did it, we did a 12K. To our delight we did a high five and then walked to cool down before stretching out indoors while the rain poured and it's still pouring, but that's okay because my training is done.
The question now is 'Do I want to eat cake ?


Definitely going to have that cake tomorrow!!
I'm going to call it a treat day ... πŸ€—
