A day in the life of our Park Rangers, Nick and Bradley.

From carrying out inspections and maintenance to improving play areas and green spaces, our rangers play a vital role in ensuring our parks remain places that people of all ages can enjoy.

After consultation with park users Nick and Bradley replaced a faulty trampoline with a brand new sea-saw, helping create more opportunities for local children and families to play, stay active and make memories together.

✨ What a day! One we certainly won’t forget. ✨

🎥 The iconic Antiques Roadshow came to Redbridge and chose none other than Valentines Mansion & Gardens, our idyllic Grade II listed mansion set within beautiful historic gardens, as its filming location.

👀 Visitors were invited to soak up the atmosphere as spectators or bring along their treasured items for expert appraisal. From cherished family heirlooms and inherited keepsakes 🏺 to retro toys 🧸, vintage fashion 👗, movie and music memorabilia 🎬🎵, mid-century furniture 🪑, designer handbags 👜 and rare trainers 👟, there was something fascinating around every corner.

🙌 A huge thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Valentines Mansion & Gardens, as well as colleagues across Vision, for helping to make this such a memorable day.

☕🍰 Special thanks also to the team at 1856 Café for keeping visitors refreshed with delicious beverages and treats throughout the event.

📺 We can’t wait to see the programme on our screens and celebrate this special moment for Redbridge!

Last night, we hosted a well-deserved Volunteer Thank You Celebration at the beautiful Foxburrows Barn in Hainault Forest, bringing together the incredible people who generously give their time to support our communities.

Our volunteers play a vital role across a wide range of services, including our parks, libraries, theatre, museum, cultural programmes, and community events. Their dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment help us create welcoming spaces, deliver memorable experiences, and make a real difference to residents across Redbridge.

The evening was a wonderful opportunity to bring volunteers together, celebrate their achievements, share stories, and recognise the invaluable contribution they make throughout the year. We were also delighted to be joined by Councillor Bert Jones, the Mayor of Redbridge, who helped us thank our volunteers for their outstanding service to the borough.

To every volunteer who supports our services: thank you. Your time, energy, and passion are truly appreciated, and Redbridge is a stronger, more connected community because of you.
