Creating a little ritual around your practice…🌿
The mat.
The breath.
The beads.
The scent.
The movement.
The stillness.
These small things can become a reminder to slow down and turn your attention inward.
My yoga classes are an invitation to step away from the noise for a while — to reconnect with your body, your breath and the person underneath all the doing.
Strength meets softness.
Movement meets stillness.
You meet yourself. ✨

In the meeting of breath and body, we find our centre! Where strength meets softness.
Yoga invites us to notice that there is strength in stillness, power in presence and peace in connection.
Find your centre, feel your strength, when we connect within, we create space for everything around us.

What is Hatha Vinyasa Yoga?
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga combines the steadiness and mindful alignment of hatha yoga and a gentle flow of vinyasa. This means we'll move with awareness, linking breath to movement, while also taking time to pause, refine our posture and connect with how the body feels.
The focus isn't rushing through poses - it's about creating strength, steadiness and ease while calming the mind.
Think of it as a moving meditation. We flow from one posture to the next with the breath, but at a pace that allows you to explore each pose safely and mindfully.
There will be opportunities to challenge yourself if you choose, but you're always encouraged to listen to your body and make the practice your own.
HATHA - brings stability, strength, balance and awareness,
VINYASA - brings fluidity, warmth, connection between breath and movement,
TOGETHER - they cultivate and encourage you to be fully present, to leave feeling stronger, more balanced and more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

"Balance does not look a certain way because it isn’t a set standard to impose upon ourselves; it’s not something we can plan or schedule.
Balance instead comes from listening to the guidance and wisdom of the inner voice.
Balance will look different in each of us and even different in each of us at different times.
To be in tune with ourselves, we must get quiet and listen and heed this inner voice.
The inner wisdom simply knows what we need to be vital, healthy and in deep harmony.
Spreading ourselves thin looks impressive, but in the end, we are the first to lose.
The health and well-being of our body, mind and spirit is a powerful resource and by keeping ourselves in balance, we can stride through life with greater competence and ease."

My intention is to create a welcoming space where everyone feels they belong, whether stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time or have already been practising for some time. My intention is for you to start where you are!
For me, yoga isn’t about achieving the perfect pose or shape, its about discovering and unveiling our true selves, it’s about moving with awareness, breathing with intention, even through challenges.
Its about cultivating a sense of calm and steadiness, connecting with the self, and discovering the inner radiance that already exists within each of us.
So I’d really like for people:
To start where you are,
Not where you were last year
Not where someone else is
Meet yourslef with curiosity rather than judgment
Notice how your body feels today, in this moment.
How your breath is moving....
And what your mind is bringing onto the mat
You don’t need to be flexible
You don’t need to perfect anything
There is no-one to compare yourself to
You don’t need to know every pose
Or touch your toes
Some days you will feel strong
Other days you’ll feel tired, distracted or uncertain, every one of those days belong on the mat!
Yoga isn’t about becoming someone different – it’s about becoming more aware of who you are already!
On or off the mat!
It’s about cultivating awareness, finding balance and allowing yourself to shine a little brighter.
So start where you are, trust the process and allow your practice to unfold! 🥰🙌✨☀️

Why did I become a YOGA Teacher?
When people ask why I became a yoga teacher, I often say that it feels like every step of my journey has led me here.
For many years, I worked in the beauty and holistic industry, running my own business and helping people care for themselves from the outside in.
Over time, I realised that while treatments could help people look and feel better, many were also longing for something deeper—a sense of calm, confidence, connection, and wellbeing.
That curiosity led me to explore counselling skills, complete a Psychology Honours degree, gain teaching and assessor qualifications, and work in education as a trainer, assessor, and academy manager.
I also had the privilege of supporting young people through school link college programmes, mental health and wellbeing where I saw first-hand how important it is to create safe spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.
Alongside being a wife, a mum to three children, and exploring different career opportunities and experiences over the years, I get it! I understand the demands of balancing work, family, and everyday life. Like many people, I've experienced times when life has felt busy, overwhelming, and full of competing responsibilities.
Yoga has since become an anchor.
It reminded me to pause, to breathe, and to reconnect with myself.
It showed me that strength isn't only about what we can do physically, but about how we meet ourselves with compassion, resilience, and presence.
Becoming a yoga teacher felt like bringing together everything I've learned throughout my life. My background in wellbeing, psychology, education, and holistic therapies all influence how I teach.
My classes are about more than movement—they're about creating a welcoming space where people too can journey inwardly, move, breathe, grow, and reconnect with the self and the light that's already within them.
My hope is that everyone who comes to a class feels welcome, regardless of age, ability, or experience. You don't have to be flexible or know the poses. You simply have to start where you are.
This is the heart of Jen Macleod Yoga:
a space to Move. Breathe. Glow. Be. 💚
