12th Kanzen Cup - Dundee
Good day at the office for Team HKA.
We welcomed our Oban colleagues for the first time to the team and they delivered.
Medals table is impressive but as ever, I’m more pleased with the teamwork and support each member provides the others.

Before we look at the results; I must mention Sofian and Norbert; they incurred injuries very early in their matches and could not continue. Heart breaking to watch after all their preparation; but they’ll back!

Didn’t get photos of everyone and their medals. Will add more as they are shared.
Kirsty takes home the largest haul, with 4, closely followed by Alex and Calum.

Our next event is our seminar with Sensei Matt Powell combined with our Kyu and Dan gradings.

We covered basics; stance transitions, Heian Kata, Ji-in and kumite drills.

As the holidays are drawing to a close we had an end of summer trip out to Wildwoodz for some paintball action. A fantastic day overall and some even went home with souvenirs... in the shape of pellet shaped bruises!

Don't forget classes resume at Inverness Leisure tomorrow. Look forward to seeing everyone back at training 🥋

Please remember that ALL kids and adult classes are now off. Class will resume as normal on Saturday 15th August.

Wee reminder for Charleston members

No kids class tomorrow; back on August 7th.

At the start of the summer holidays we said goodbye to two of our most diligent students, Ava and Theo, who were leaving HKA to head back home to Germany. They trained every week and rarely missed a class.
All the coaches and students at HKA will miss seeing them at class and we hope they keep up their training with their new club.
