When you are grieving everything takes effort and I mean everything. So if all you did today was get up then blooming celebrate it.
You got up when it would have been easier to stick the duvet back over your head and stay in bed. So well done done you.

Don’t pretend you are ok when you are not. You don’t need to mask how you feel, other reactions are not your responsibility
Grief can be so very complex
Others won’t understand it
You feel conflicted - sad but relieved, angry but hurt and very confused.
If your relationship was complicated then your grief is going to be equally as complicated and that’s ok, it all makes sense.
Families can be such a support during loss but they can also really compound our grief
-not allowing you and your grief to feel seen and heard
-not giving you the emotional support you need
-trying to rush you through your grief
