Hello Everyone! It's that time of the year when we are bringing a wild and wonderful season to a close. There's been tears, laughter, hangovers, events and LOTS of coffee in between. We would love to have a BBQ for our last day next Friday! We will have lots of delicious things for you, such as;

Corn on the Cob 🌽
Cocktails🍸

It'll be *cash only* 💸 and we will be making a donation to the Isle of Mull All-Weather Indoor Sports Hall.

We would love to see you all there come rain or shine (we have a marquee at the ready). There will be great drinks and delicious food, it will also be a lovely to chance to say goodbye to the team and the coffee shop!

🥇 𝗪𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧, 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗟. 𝗪𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗥𝗗.

Wake up to this, Isle of Mull. We’ve done something extraordinary.

Our Crowdfunder has has surpassed the target and is sitting at £54,659 from 226 supporters - making the Mull Community Sports Hall the biggest community Crowdfunder ever run by a Scottish island, beating the previous record of £54,322.

Just let that sink in.

The only major Scottish island without an indoor sports hall has just raised more from its own community than any island campaign before it.

This wasn’t a big city. It wasn’t a national charity. It was 𝗨𝗦.

Islanders, families, businesses, visitors and friends of Mull, near and far.

Every person who donated. Every person who dropped coins into a collection box. Every person who shared a post, bought a raffle ticket or put a poster in their window.

A huge thank you to Lomond Wholesale 𝗮𝗻𝗱 Inverlussa Marine Services, whose match funding doubled the community’s effort and helped us get to where we are today.

We set out to prove that Mull wants, needs and deserves an indoor sports hall.

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬, 𝗠𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗛𝗔𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗡. 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗪𝗘’𝗩𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗘 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬.

This is a huge milestone, but it’s not the finish line. There’s still work to do to make the hall a reality, and we’ll share what comes next very soon.

🏆 £539 FROM MAKING HISTORY.

We've smashed our target with £53,884 raised from 210 supporters. Mull's first ever indoor sports hall is well on the way and it's because of you.

But we're now within touching distance of something extraordinary.

Crowdfunder have told us the biggest community Crowdfunder ever run by a Scottish island stands at £54,322, a magnificent campaign by Shetland's knitters. We are just £539 away from beating it and making Mull the new record-holder.

And we've got until 1:39pm TOMORROW to do it.

We’ve only gone and done it!! 🎉

What a milestone! A huge thank you to everyone who has run, swum, fundraised, donated and helped spread the word. Every bit has made a difference - and we’re officially on our way!

HOWEVER, Crowdfunder have been in touch and informed us, the largest sum ever raised by a Scottish island was £54,322 on Shetland. How amazing would it be to get a final push and beat that record! Please do keep donating if you can.

🎉 WE'VE PASSED £40,000!

Since our last update and since our flyer started landing on doormats right across Mull and Morvern this week the Crowdfunder has smashed through £40,000.

£40,012 raised. 126 supporters. £9,988 to go. 7 days left.

And here's the best part: Lomond Foods' match funding takes us all the way to £50,000 so every pound still needed is effectively doubled by the match. We are genuinely closer than that £9,988 figure makes it look.

This is entirely down to our community, everyone who's pledged online, dropped coins in a shop collection box or shared our posts. Thank you.

OUR CROWDFUNDER HAS EIGHT DAYS LEFT AND YOUR MONEY IS WORTH DOUBLE.

Our Crowdfunder for Mull's first ever all-weather indoor sports hall closes in 8 days and we're £13,468 short of our £50,000 target.

Here's the bit that changes everything: Lomond Foods are matching donations pound for pound, up to our target. Give £10 today and it becomes £20 for the hall. Give £50 and it's £100. That match funding runs out either when we hit the cap or when the Crowdfunder closes whichever comes first.

Let's work together to end watching wet winters go by with nowhere for our kids, our clubs and our community to play sports, have fun or keep fit.

Let's bring health and wellness to Mull.

We've come so far: £36,532 raised, entirely by this community, without a penny of public money. We are the funders now and we need to raise the funds to make the Council take notice.
