Despite the volume of rain we've had, it's been business as usual on the course - no temporary greens or tees and the team have been out regularly to cut fairways, approaches and greens.
Huge credit to our Course Manager for the superb work he's doing out there and keeping the course in such great shape 👏🏻

Our greenkeeping team have been hard at work improving the drainage on the 5th green this morning. This will help to improve the turf quality throughout the year, particularly during the winter months, by diverting water toward the ditch at the back of the green, away from the centre of the putting surface.
We continue to invest in the course and facilities to raise the playing experience for members and guests year-round.
A comparison of our 4th hole before and after the recent renovation work. We are turning this long par 4 into a par 5, with new tee boxes adding length and changing the angle of the hole. We have also built 4 fairway bunkers to add strategy, particularly for longer hitters considering using driver from the tee, and replaced a number of poplars with carefully placed copses of specimen trees.
We look forward to seeing these changes bed in over the coming weeks and months, and will open the new tee boxes in the Spring.
The closing hole at Wyke Green is a testing par 4 played into the prevailing wind. This well bunkered hole takes two long and precise shots to find the putting surface in regulation - you've earned yourself a drink in the clubhouse if you manage to get through the last unscathed.
The short 17th is our homage to the famous postage stamp at Troon - this tiny green has ruined many scorecards over the years. Miss left and face a tough chip or putt through the run off area, anything short or right will require a precise bunker shot.
Our 16th is the first of back-to-back par 3s and offers a tough challenge for those holding on to a good score. Even after navigating the long tee shot, the green slopes sharply from right to left making even the shortest putts a challenge.
Look out for changes here as we will be renovating the bunkers in the coming months.
