After having a frozen shoulder for more than a year, it's wonderful to have finally recovered! Pilates played a key part in my recovery and I have now regained my full range of movement.

Be ACTIVE and TREAT yourself! 🤸♀️🍍Did you know smoothies are great energy boosts? My favourite one, before a morning run, is pineapple-banana. Tasty and refreshing, it not only provides plenty of energy to keep you going long distances, it is also a great source of potassium and magnesium which can help prevent muscle cramps, post run. You can customize your recipe by adding oatmeal, ground flaxseed or peanut butter.
4 ice cubes + 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks + 1 banana + almond or coconut milk. Enjoy! 😉

‘You're only as young as your spine is flexible’ Joseph Pilates.
We commonly think that passive stretching is the best way to improve our spinal flexibility while, in fact, it is not. The issue with passive stretching is that it does not involve the recruitment of your core muscles and this may result in causing compression in your spine.
Why does core control matter? Core muscles are a group of deep muscles, close to the spine, that are not only essential for good posture but also participate to the dynamic stability process that is needed to function well in the everyday life and to perform well in any kind of physical activity.
Pilates exercises teach how to mobilise your spine safely to increased its flexibility through controlled movements, involving your core muscles.
