With all my target waters and syndicates now closed for spawning it was time to drop back on to the club waters for socials and some slightly easier fishing.

The swim I wanted was just about to come available and although the guy befor me hadn’t had a bite I knew that most of the stock would of been up this end of the lake due to the weather and time of year,

I fished 2 rods relatively short one up the left margin about half a rod length off a set of reeds at 9 wraps and the right straight out Inbetween a set of lily pads and a small island at 11 wraps.

Both rods fished with 16mm Dark TNT wafters over beds of matching dark TNT freebies!

6 takes 5 x 20s landed from 21lb to 26lb

After a recent trip to lac Luna armed with the TNT and liquid peanut I was already filled with confidence as everywhere I have taken it I have had mega results using it.

I arrived at the lake on the Saturday, after the walk around it was apparent that the fish were all up one end so coming out in the top half of the drawer would’ve set my week off to a bang however I came out 2nd to last in the draw and this m did nock my confidence a little bit.
The peg I opted for was peg five which commanded a lot of a water in a central part of the lake it was very tough going as the krays were hard work although I was lucky enough to get four bites with each bite coming at night I managed to land two of them a 35 mirror. And they 44 common.

Little spring campaign on my syndicate comes to an end with a very nice closure.

Ive done 5x 48h sessions without being able to get on the fish due to turning up late on Fridays and fish being nowhere near to spawning on the lake.

Turned up last weekend and managed to get into a quiet corner with evidence of fish being here in numbers. First morning I managed to land a lovely 34.10lb common followed by a 37.14 common at dusk. Went to bed with pure confidence. First light wake up call to one of the lakes oldest residents called The little football fully only at 27.12 but weight was totally irrelevant.

Thanks to Kris for fresh delivery just before my session I feel some special goodies in there helped to turn my luck. TNT freebies with match the hatch hookbait never fails.

On to France I go next week watch this space…
