Thanks to Marilyn for inviting me along to do a chair exercise class at Perceton Women's Institute in Irvine. Brief was easy exercise but... they had other plans...out the chairs dancing to Bat Out of Hell. First in person fitness class I've delivered since lockdown. Fab night.

Hello fitness friends! It feels like a different time but much better time since our winter lockdown classes. Since I last saw you I've turned the big 50 and started a new job working in the EAST school support team! Miss you all...came across some Christmas party memories last week...hilarious! Just to let you know thankyou so much for your donations for the freebie lockdown classes. I was going to donate to 2 charities but I decided to put it all to the Ayr Guinea Pig rehoming charity as they were hard hit through both lockdowns. Hope you're all doing fab and keeping up with fitness when you can Xx

Fast and furious..lots of wee scuttling figures punching and kicking! Well done everyone on Boxercise night 💯👌
So that's me back to going into work full time hours now and with the lighter nights beckoning us outside it feels like a natural end to the #2 lockdown winter fitness classes. There have been 8 Monday night classes since January. I've had a great time.
There was no charge for the classes but if you are in a position to do so if you could make a small donation of no more than £5, I'll split the money between the Ayr Guinea Pig rescue and rehoming charity & the Emily Drouet charity called 'Emilytest'. I'll make a donation too. I'll send an email with the details.

The turn of Lady Gaga tonight!
Two tunes, one sweaty dance fitness & one body sculpting. I could see great movement on the screen, especially with the arms, big and bold! Lots of twisting moves for the waist.

CORE class done - lots of big effort 💯 - did love it when Kirsty [I think it was?] trainer was flashing back and forth past the screen on the floor work leg exercises 😍
What did you do?.....
Sequence 1
📍Plank tap outs/jump outs with both feet
📍Walk feet into hands and back out
📍Walk out planks
📍Sumo squats with side leg lifts
📍Side knees with waist bend
Sequence 2
📍Lie on side, knee lifts [increase difficulty by lifting both heels off the ground]
📍Front kicks past eye line
📍Draw little circle with your whole leg
📍Inner thigh pulses
Sequence 3
📍Plank tap outs/jump outs
📍Walk out planks
📍On back - shoulders up off floor - middle/left/right sit ups
📍On back - bicycles
📍On back - single leg extensions/double leg extensions to add difficulty
Stretches
Energy blasters
.....BURPEES - either single leg or full out!
..............JUMPING JACKS - half or full out!

There will be some floor work so bring mat/towel. There will also be a floor sequence for the legs, bum and thighs too!

Warm up first with build up exercises [hamstring curls, single and double side steps. high knees, squats]

S.Q.U.A.T.S 💯
A low impact workout with combination squat exercises to work the legs, bums and tums. Squats strengthen pretty much every muscle in your lower body, including your quads, hamstrings, and calves. Add in a combination move such as squat with side leg lift then you get a workout for the core too. ✅

My my! Going to give some music a shot during the class.
I'll teach you the routine in the warm up it will be easy to follow but feel free to freestyle [Lesley!!] then off we go.
Finish with 5 minutes of core work

Monday night workout done ✅
2 Tabata - 20 secs work 10 secs rest
No (1) SWEAT
✅1,2,3, knee - side to side [walk or run]
✅Crab walk position with toe touches [bum on ground or bum off ground]
✅Squat, squat inner thigh turn to front [made harder with squat jump]
✅1,2,3 knee repeater, tap straight back then tap back in a leg crossover position mini lunge towards the ground
No (2) CORE
✅Crab walk position with toe touches [bum on ground or bum off ground]
✅Walk out plank with taps to opposite shoulders
✅Hip twists
✅Straight sit ups [variations were fingers to knees/hand above head with full sit up]
Finished with sumo squats and the 1,2,3 knee as an energiser after the stretches....
Great work everyone - the puffing and panting levels were high tonight which means lots of effort - brilliant!
