Muddy Mutts Flyball

What a worthy winner. Our wee team have had so much help and support from Jenni. Thank you for all that you do.

🏆🐾 Spirit of Flyball Award Winner! 🐾🏆

A massive congratulations to Jenni Wallace from Lomond Flyball Club, our very deserving Spirit of Flyball Award winner! 🎉❤️

What makes this award even more special is that Jenni herself was the person who originally introduced the Spirit of Flyball Award to the BFA! 🥹💙

Flyball has always been about so much more than racing dogs and chasing times. It’s about friendship, kindness, sportsmanship, supporting one another and being part of an incredible community. 🐕🐾

The Spirit of Flyball Award celebrates those very qualities, so there’s something particularly lovely about seeing the person who brought this award to the BFA now being recognised with it herself. ❤️

👏 Congratulations, Jenni! A truly well-deserved recognition, and a wonderful full-circle moment!

Thank you Jenni

🐾💙 MARS BAR HAS EARNED HIS LEVEL 1! 🏆🎉

Our very own Mars Bar has officially earned his Level 1 through the Flyball Tournament Circuit (FTC), and I genuinely couldn’t be prouder of this boy! 🥹❤️

For those who don’t know Mars Bar’s story, just over a year ago his future was looking incredibly bleak. He came from a background of severe neglect and was almost put to sleep. 💔

Fast forward to today, and this incredible little dog is not only enjoying life, but performing on stage, learning new skills, building confidence and discovering just how much fun flyball can be!

Every little achievement means the world when you know how far a dog has come. Watching Mars Bar grow into the happy, confident boy he’s becoming is something I’ll never take for granted. ❤️

🌟 A very special thank you to FTC! 🌟

What a fantastic resource you’ve created for the flyball community! The levels are brilliant fun, give us something to work towards and provide wonderful opportunities to develop our dogs’ skills and celebrate their progress.

Flyball isn’t just about how fast a dog can run or how many rosettes they can win. Sometimes it’s about giving a dog who had very little reason to trust the world a chance to discover just how amazing life can be. 🥹🐾

From almost losing his life to earning his Level 1. That’s my Mars Bar! 🌟

And this is only the beginning of his journey! 💙

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one 💜

When I say I have a flyball family, I genuinely mean it.

My team secretly arranged a whip round for me and have completely kitted out my van with new crates, refloored it and put so much time, effort and thought into making it better for me and the dogs.

And I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed by it all.

We might be one big dysfunctional family 😂 We annoy each other, wind each other up, probably drive each other completely insane at times… but when it really matters, we show up for each other.

What they’ve done for me isn’t just about crates or flooring or a van. It’s knowing that people cared enough to organise it, contribute, give their time and help make it happen. That means more to me than I can properly put into words.

I also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone outside the team who they reached out to and who helped, donated, contributed or got involved in any way. Some of you probably had absolutely no idea what you were getting dragged into 😂 but you helped make something incredibly special happen.

To my Muddy Mutts family — you are an absolute bunch of weirdos, I wouldn’t swap you for the world, and I love every single one of you. ❤️

Thank you. Really. I’m now gonna sit in the van and ugly cry more 🥹🐾

🌟🐾 KAYLA & EVA’S ROAD TO CRUFTS 2027! 🐾🌟

What a journey it has been for these two girls! ❤️

Kayla and Eva have been taking part in flyball since Muddy Mutts first started four years ago, and over those years we’ve watched them learn, grow, build confidence and become a huge part of our flyball family.

And now… they’re heading to CRUFTS! 🥹💚

The girls have joined forces with our wonderful friends at Star Paws Flyball Team, with Kayla running Ivvie from Star Paws and Eva running our very own Bertie from Muddy Mutts in Kilmarnock. 🐕💨

At the weekend, the girls, dogs and team made the journey down to Thirsk to take part in a Crufts qualifier — and what a weekend they had!

🥈 SECOND PLACE!
🎟️ QUALIFIED FOR CRUFTS!
🐾 YOUNG KENNEL CLUB FLYBALL 2027!

They’ve officially earned their place on that famous green carpet! 💚

For us, this one feels extra special. To think back to where it all began four years ago, when Kayla and Eva first started their flyball journey with us, and now see them preparing to compete at Crufts 2027 is just incredible.

A massive congratulations to Kayla & Ivvie, Eva & Bertie, all the dogs and everyone at Star Paws who helped make it happen. ❤️

We’re so excited to follow their Road to Crufts, and you can guarantee the Muddy Mutts will be cheering VERY loudly when they hit that Crufts flyball lane!

From those early days at Muddy Mutts to the green carpet at Crufts… what a journey. And it’s not over yet! 🐾💚🏆

As if our weekend wasn't exciting enough… our fantastic Young Members headed off to a Crufts qualifier on Saturday —
and BOY, DID THEY DELIVER! ❤️🖤

Our brilliant Scottish combo brought together young members from FOUR teams across Scotland, joining forces as the Star Paws Kilted Collies and setting their sights on one very special goal…

💚 CRUFTS 2027! 💚

And they only went and QUALIFIED!!! 🤩🏆🐾

What an achievement for this fantastic group of young handlers and their amazing dogs. The teamwork, determination and support they showed each other was something to be incredibly proud of.

Flyball Tournament Circuit is such an amazing idea. I got to log our Mars Bars first ever clean runs at a comp. Go follow their page or sign up on the website!

Super proud

Well done Mars Bar

It’s hard work being a Crufts-qualifying flyball kid… 😴🐾🏆

All that running, shouting, cheering, ball collecting, helping the team and spending weekends at flyball tournaments really takes it out of you! 😂

When your dogs are busy chasing PBs and Crufts dreams, apparently the support crew need a recovery nap on the journey home. 💤

Wouldn’t change these crazy flyball weekends for the world though. ❤️🐾

Eat. Sleep. Flyball. Repeat.
…with a little more emphasis on the sleep today! 😂
