Well done to the 2013’s. First cup game of the season and a win in the bag, playing away to Girvan Youth 2013’s. Through to the next round of the cup! 🏆⚽

In terms of the performance, we dominated the game for long periods and deservedly got ourselves two goals in the second half through Robert and Joseph. We dropped off a little towards the end and unfortunately conceded a couple, which took the game to penalties.

The boys showed brilliant composure in the shootout. We scored our first four penalties, while they missed their second and third. Superb penalties from Robert, Daryl, Harvey and Alfie, especially under that kind of pressure! 👏

The referee voted Calan as Man of the Match after a superb performance in holding midfield, while their coaches chose Daryl, who was also brilliant driving forward and creating chances.

Another standout for us was Robert, who came on in the second half and got our first goal by being in the right position and following the ball in.

We’re delighted with the result and really pleased to be through to the next round. Hopefully we can carry the momentum into next weekend and get another win! 💪⚽

A good start to our Robert’s birthday today with a stronger performance for the boys. Happy Birthday Robert!!

Today we faced off against strong / experienced Galston side.

We feel our boys were up for the game from the start, and took a deserved early lead after some great play from Frankie won us a free kick in a dangerous position which Daniel converted with a fantastic strike.

Galston came into the game more as the half progressed but we felt unlucky to go in 2-1 down at half time.

Second half started a bit slowly from both teams, with a couple of mistakes leading to Galston adding another two goals,

We continued battling though and created some very good chances where we just needed to be a little bit braver on the ball, our hard work paid off when some brilliant forward play from Harvey got us in, he unselfishly played the ball to Joseph who provides a very composed finish.

We had the game at 4-2 to Galston.

We are so proud of all of our boys today. Small margins and a couple of things to work on. But in my opinion this was easily the best that we have played.

Galston coaches chose Darryl for man of the match with the ref awarding it to Harvey in a game where it could have been any one of our boys.

Well done boys. Let’s keep the performance levels from today going into next week.

Delayed post from our home game to Galloway thistle on Saturday ⚽️

We were in uncharted waters facing Galloway Thisle for the very first time, we expected a tough game, but feel that we matched them pretty well, they were dangerous from set pieces and some incredible goals.

Thought our boys looked a wee bit nervous in the first 15 mins but settled a bit better after that and started pressing with more urgency which made a huge difference.

Although it’s not the result we wanted, We are coming away from the game with a lot more positives, still somethings to improve on but we will get there, one step at a time.

Game finished 8-1 to Galloway, with Darryl getting the goal with wait for it ……. A PENALTY, well done Darryl.

We are proud of the fight and improvement shown by the boys today, and told them afterwards, if they carry that into every game, we will be absolutely fine.

Overall we had a solid team performance, Referee was away sharp so we asked the Galloway coaches to chose our man of the match. They awarded it to Oscar well done wee man.

We also feel both goalies should be given a special mention, they both pulled off some cracking saves.

Appreciate everyone who came along to Show support for the team as always.

Next up we face Galston away, good luck boys ⚽️❤️

Well what a day at Morton Thistle Michael Bennett memorial festival. Thank you Morton Thistle 2013 for having us.

From start to finish, the boys played some great football, showed brilliant link-up play and conducted themselves fantastically throughout. We couldn’t have asked for much more from them.

We were really unlucky to walk away with only a win and a draw but runners up for the Trophy and we could not be prouder of the boys. First competitive win in the bag and it wasn’t an easy one. The improvements since the last tournament are night and day, real improvements that we are happy to see and will bring us into good stead for the season ahead.

Well done to our goal scorers:

Darryl ⚽️
Robert ⚽️
Daniel ⚽️

Great day out at the Blantyre Tournament today for the boys today, even though the results didn’t go their way they all tried their hearts out. ⚽️🏅

The team played some great football a player that stood out for the tournament was Oscar who gave his all throughout and played brilliantly throughout the tournament!

In the first couple of games, we looked brilliant, worked well as a team, and performed strongly in both matches. Towards the last few games, we started to lose our rhythm a bit, but all of the boys worked hard throughout what was a long and tiring day for everyone, particularly them. They handled themselves well on the pitch and represented the team brilliantly.

Shoutout to all of our goal-scorers:

Darryl - 4
Robert - 2
Daniel - 1

Proud of the boys for their continued determination and looking forward to next season! ⚽️❤️
