Buffs 2-2 Bonnytonn
What a great advert for youth football yesterday morning. Buffs started well and had a couple of half chances before a great corner from Adam was headed home by cooper, great goal.
Bonnytonn are a very good team and they scored from long range shot which caught Leighton off guard. We went back in front when great persistence from cooper, he rolled the ball in for Kerr to knock it home another great goal.
Half time 2-1
Second half both teams had chances and it was a good game. Bonnytonn then got the equaliser when there boy did well to run with the ball and slide it under Leighton. Buffs kept trying to get winner and final decision making letting the boys down a bit but Leighton also had a couple of good saves.
Could have went either way but both teams had to settle for the draw.
Great start from the boys this season and last time we played Bonnytonn got beat 8 or 9-1 so boys have came a long way in a year.
Ref gave man of the match to big Kerr well done big yin
Coaches gave it to Nairn who has started the season very well, keep it going boys

Troon thistle 1-5 buffs
Boys were fantastic this morning. Started very well from the off and scored after 10 mins from skipper Daniel scoring from 12 yards. Couple of chances came and went then Nairn headed home brilliantly from a Mason corner. Shay then scored from close range before cooper scored a penalty after great work from Adam Northcoute. Half time 4 nil.
Second half we didn’t play as well but still created some chances. Troon pulled one back, Leighton nearly saving it. Then Jimmy finished well to end the scoring 1-5. Great start to the season with full points after two tough games.
Keep up the good work lads mon the buffs

Buffs 2-1 Cumnock
What a result and performance from the boys this morning. Great morning for football and boys worked so hard to get the result. Goals from Daniel and cooper. Very pleased with the work of the boys today and we move on to next week🔵⚪️👍👍⚽️⚽️

New season starts tomorrow, boys been great in preseason now it’s all about league points !! Tough first game at home v Cumnock kick off 1030am get down and support the boys !

Buffs 1-2 Troon
Another great test against a very good side.
Once again we had 18 available and tried to get everyone lots of game time. We started very well snd shay did great down the left to square the ball back for cooper who did great before sweeping ball into bottom corner. Adam Northcoute was very unlucky with a header from Mason corner and an Adam Stewart corner Nairn nearly scored. Troon got more into the game and got a penalty which the scored. Then right on half time they got another which wasn’t great defending from our part !!
Second half again boys played so well Adam Stewart hitting the post from a free kick. Murray nearly scoring from a corner and a couple of half chances. Troon hit the bar and Leighton had a good save to keep it 2-1.
Game finished and not the scoreline we wanted but definitely an excellent performance.
Been a really good preseason so far to get the boys ready for the start of the season. Well done boys ⚪️🔵⚽️⚽️👍👍

Clydebank 3-2 buffs
A very good tight game against a good side who used the pitch very well.
Buffs started really positively and had a couple of half chances before a clearance in our box hit there player and ended up back of the net.
Buffs kept trying to play the right way and were unlucky from two free kicks from Adam. They got the equaliser when Adam’s corner was whipped into front post and deflected in. Half time 1-1
Second half we made 10 changes and again boys playing some nice football. Bankies got a maybe soft penalty for a pull and made it 2-1, then boy cut in and hit a nice shot to make it 3-1. Boys kept playing tho and Cormac finished well from a Nik free kick into the box . Buffs kept pushing but couldn’t get the equaliser.
Good game tho and a good test for the boys in pre season.
All the best for the season ahead to Clydebank .

Dalry 1-12 buffs

East Kilbride 0-3 buffs
A beautiful morning for football and the buffs gave us something to cheer in the sunshine.
First half we played very well and created a few really good chances. But it took till last min of first half before we opened the scoring, wee Jimmy doing great then squares it to Ollie to slide it home. 0-1 half time
Second half our passing was very good and created some more chances. Second goal came when Mason did great and was fouled in the box and Ethan popped it into top corner with a great penalty. Third goal came when Jack passed a great ball through for shay to out sprint there defence and slid it past keeper.
17 players there today and all got great minutes under there belt.
Very happy with way we played today and 4 new players all gelling very well.

What a weekend for the boys in our own festival.
A really strong field this year with Renfrew reds ,Milan fc , KFA , Bellshill athletic , Hutchinson Vale , Vale of Leven and Gartcairn making up two groups of 4. Saturday we did great to top our group with some great hard fought wins taking us into the semi finals on the Sunday. We played against a very good Vale of Leven side and it was a very tight game. We took the lead with an OG and then had to defend bravely and we did. Until 2 mins to go when Leven got a penalty but big Leighton made a great save and then another in dying minutes. We ride our luck at times that’s for sure but boys battled hard for the win.
Into the final and we face Gartcairn. Again another extremely hard fought game with a great competitiveness to the game. We lost Nairn to a red card after only 8 mins, and boys hard to work so hard to get something from the game. We did, also creating a few chances ourselves. Game finished 0-0 and straight to pens. Daniel, Adam N, Broonie, Shay and Kerr all scored their pens after Gartcairn had missed their first one.
All in all was a great weekend of football and thanks to all teams for playing in the right manner !! Well done buffs - two trophies in a row at festivals now and 4 new players into the squad who all look very good so far .
