10 reasons not to mess with a Zen Gen woman:

1. Survived being a latchkey kid before “self-care” was a hashtag

2. Done the inner child work and her inner child is scarier than yours

3. Knows the difference between a boundary and a grudge now

4. Regulated her nervous system before you finished your sentence

5. Been called “too much” enough times to know it was never true

6. Raised actual humans and her own inner critic, simultaneously

7. Stopped needing your approval somewhere in her 40s

8. Can spot a fake apology from a mile away

9. Her calm isn’t weakness. It’s 20 years of nervous system training

10. Chose to heal instead of harden

My 10 favourite tried and tested wellbeing hacks for midlife women:

1. Release tension before sleep - a body that’s still holding the day won’t let you sleep, however tired you are

2. Time in nature - grounds your body out of alert mode

3. You time without thinking of another’s needs

4. Regular exercise you enjoy to release stored stress

5. Journaling to process emotions - getting what’s unprocessed out of your body and onto the page

6. Eat food that nourishes you and no, that doesn’t mean it has to be “healthy,” it means food that actually makes you feel good

7. Chat with a friend for genuine co-regulation, not just socialising

8. Communicate with your partner - speaking your truth your when needed

9. Do something you love each day as proof to your body that life isn’t just about survival

10. Laughter - an actual nervous system release

The 11th nobody puts on this list: understanding why you feel the way you do in the first place, which is actually what changes the pattern.

Which is your go to?

This is for if you’re struggling in your relationship(s)…

We don’t always realise when a relationship has stopped aligning with who we are.

Sometimes we’ve known someone for years. A partner, a friend, a colleague. And somewhere along the way, we’ve changed but the relationship hasn’t.

When we begin to set boundaries, we may discover that the other person isn’t comfortable with the changes we’re making.

They may still expect the version of us they’ve always known.

The version of you that always….

said yes.
stayed quiet.
over-gave.
and made themselves smaller to keep the relationship comfortable.

But growth can change our relationships and that might feel quite uncomfortable and as if you’re the one in the wrong!

But setting a boundary is enough to also create a healthier relationship.

And sometimes, the boundary shows us that the relationship itself may no longer be right for us.

So perhaps it’s worth asking yourself:

Where in my life am I tolerating something that no longer aligns with who I am today?

And…

Is this a relationship where I need to create a boundary or one I may need to leave?

REMEMBER: you’re allowed to grow + you’re allowed to let your relationships change with you.

4 hours of driving today (13 in total to get home) and one thing kept surfacing…

How often we override our own intuition as women.

Not because we don’t hear it, but because we’re too busy, too responsible, too used to putting everyone else first to actually stop and listen.

What might our lives actually look like if we followed that guidance?

What’s blocking you from listening to yours?

You don’t need four hours in a car to find out.

You need permission to actually listen, why not start with me today…Whose game?

Day 2 of showing up.

Yesterday’s whole idea came in about ten seconds.

It was a download, I had not planned that moment, I har thought and then in a flash came to set the lunar eclipse intention.

I can’t tell you how I’ve been overthinking getting started, I’ve been getting in my own way months!!

But here’s the thing I want to share with you..I only caught it because I’d actually made space to listen - time alone, doing something enjoyable and I felt at ease with myself.

And that’s the part we usually miss as midlife women.

Because we’re so busy doing for everyone else, we rarely leave room to just receive and to allow ourselves the space to feel at ease.

The takeaway: listen to your intuition.

Trust that if you create the space and listen you’ll always be guided.

FOLLOW MY JOURNEY….

I am Georgina, I’m 51 years old, post menopause and I’m a psychotherapist!

Today marks a very important milestone for me with 19 years of inner work, inner healing and transformation under my belt which ties in beautifully with the lunar eclipse in Pisces which closes out the major planetary transits that have in Pisces since 2007 (19 years!!).

In 2007 I experienced my last episode of psychosis which turned out to be a huge spiritual awakening that completely changed the trajectory of my life.

I have spent the last 19 years healing through therapy, self led and with counselling, getting to know who I am through spiritually means of meditation, journaling, nature and oracle cards.

I’ve been to the depths of my psyche, soul and shadow to get where I am and who I am today.

It’s not been easy and it’s certainly it been glamorous, but I’ve learnt so much about myself and how to heal your mind, body and soul.

As I was sat in Starbucks this afternoon I suddenly decided that’s it, I am done with playing small! I’m done with getting in my own way! I’m done with pretending I don’t want my dreams to become reality!

So here I am today (in an Edinburgh Starbucks) setting this live intention to get out of my own way and make s**t happen.

I have no idea what this looks like, or whether I can pull this off, but the most important thing is that I declare this commitment to myself and other midlife women who I know need to hear what I have to share and offer about how to do things the self therapy way.

Not bothered about followers
Not bothered about becoming a millionaire
Not bothered about whether this even works….

I just know it’s time I started showing up for myself and other midlife women who need someone to lean on.

So come with on my showing up journey and let’s see what happens…

I’m done watching women apologise for the size of their own emotions because someone else couldn’t handle them.

That’s not you being too much.

That’s you being met by too little.

This eclipse season is really awakening something in me💫

At 51 I’m sure I’m not alone in this….??

Women! It’s time to stop apologising for having emotions 🖕

Mental health in midlife deserves more attention than it gets 🤍

Many people find themselves juggling careers, family responsibilities, relationships struggles, health concerns, and the pressure of holding everything together.

Never mind the stress of this triggering old wounds, unresolved trauma and unprocessed emotions.

It’s no surprise that stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and emotional exhaustion can start to show up on top of everything else.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until burnout to start supporting your mental wellbeing.

One of the most powerful places to begin is with your nervous system.

I’ve created a FREE 2-Minute Nervous System Reset Audio to help you step out of stress mode and reconnect with a sense of calm and safety in your body.

Think of it as the first step in your self-therapy journey.

✨ Comment “RESET” below or tap the link in the final slide or bio to download your free audio and start creating more calm from the inside out.

Let’s talk about this in the comments….you don’t need to struggle in silence ❤️
