Hi Skaters, I ask for help and having a few of you responding was great.
Sorry I have not spoken to direct, but I do now via this posting.
We are wanting those who have a great time to be part of the people who look after the Skate Park.
We need your assistance to meet with us and help keep Skate Park clean, tide and safe for everyone.
Can you or your parents call me and we can be of assistance to each other.
Cllr Viv Padden. 07957210044. or [email protected]
We welcome and want you to be part of this, and need input.
So please be a part of the Skate Park.
Thank you.
Cllr Viv.

"E SCOOTERS"
Safer Roads Humber launched a campaign last year to remind people of the law surrounding the use of e-scooters. Speaking to Hull Live in 2021, Ruth Gore, spokesperson for Safer Roads Humber, said: "There is no doubt that e-scooters are a mode of transport of the future – but the fact is at this current time, the use of privately owned devices remains illegal on public roads, cycle lanes and pavements

Powers to tackle illegal encampments

New legislation has come into effect about trespassers illegally campaign on others land.

The new legislation was created through the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act
2022. This became law on 28 June 2022.

It means that someone who illegally camps on other people’s land, local communities land
or the highway could face:

Up to three months in prison and/or
A £2500 fine and/or
Seizure of a vehicle.
The Home Office has clarified that if people leave when asked to by the Police or the
landowner, they will not risk having their vehicle seized, a fine or a prison sentence.

The legislation also allows the Police to ban trespassers from returning to a patch of land
for a year.

In addition to the above the Police will also be able to intervene where there is
environmental damage or distress to the community and not just the landowner. Examples
of harm include:

Excessive littering, noise, or smell
Verbally abused or intimidation
Prevention of access to sports fields, parks or car parks
Property and/or land damage

A message from the Skatepark Committee.

Skate Park Closure. The Committee sends apologies to all Skate Park users that the SP is closed. As regular users know when we get heavy rain the skate park floods over an area of about 75 sq meters. The ERYCouncil have very kindly provided the funds to enable the installation of proper drainage which will hopefully put a stop to future flooding. We hope that the work will be completed by the end of this week or early next week. Kind regards to everyone. Chris Lawson Chairman.
