FIFTH PLACED FINISH FOR ARROWS IN FIRST TOURNAMENT
What a great experience for our lads today at Lincoln City Football Club as part of the Pitchside Football - Tournaments & Events tournament!
Our lads battled to fifth in the league, playing Willerby Jags in our play-off final at the end which we won 2-0.
Plenty of close games and drama but a superbly organised event and one we were lucky to experience.

WESTELLA WOLVES 2-1 KINGSWOOD ARROWS
End to end game down at Hilltop this morning as the Arrows took the lead in the first half, but couldn’t get anything out of the game as the season drew to a close.
It was Louie who got our goal, driving forward and cutting inside before finishing smartly after Jayden had played him in.
Westella scored two in the second half, and the lads threw everything at them to try to equalise but it wasn’t to be.

⭐ Parents’ player went to Archie (Sponsored by Mike & Carole Blanchard) - great performance today again from Archie who finished the season strongly!
⭐ Coaches’ player went to Louie. His first game for nearly 5 weeks after injury and he was impressive in both attack and defence. Well done Louie!
Massive thanks to all the supporters who came down today and throughout the season. Also thanks to all our sponsors who helped the lads raise funds - it is massively appreciated!
We ended up finishing 5th in the Wyke League so should be staying put for next season.

ARROWS 0-1 COTTINGHAM RANGERS
A great performance from our lads for our last home game of the season, but unfortunately we just couldn’t take our chances and our opponents scored with their only clear cut opportunity.
Some of the football the lads played was fantastic on the eye and the effort from all players was brilliant, but we just couldn’t find our way past Cottingam’s colossal goalkeeper.
The Arrows threw everything at the opposition, who lost their discipline on numerous occasions with comments towards the referee who in fairness handled the occasion very well, sin binning a couple of Cottingham players.
⭐ Supporters’ MOTM went to Jayden (Sponsored by Angel Newlove, HMJ Creative Design and The Crate Escape. Dog Walking Hull). He has been a revelation on the left wing. It allows him to cut inside more effectively and he caused so many problems for the Cott defence today. Well done, Jayden!
⭐ Coaches’ MOTM went to Theo (Sponsored by 3v3 Futsal Ball3rs). Theo has switched to the right wing, swapping with Jayden - and he did superbly today, running down the wing and making a nuisance of himself in the box - even winning a penalty which we unfortunately couldn’t convert. Well done, Theo!
We have one more game next week away at Westella, and the lads will be desperate to finish with a win.
The week after, we will be at the first Pitchside Football - Tournaments & Events of the season at Lincoln City Football Club!
Big thanks to Mickey from the Kings for helping us today.

ARROWS 2-3 KINGSWOOD KINGS
Great game yesterday down at the University of Hull in the Junior Futsal Series , with the lads narrowly losing out to their rivals the Kings.
It was a great game with plenty of chances for both teams, but our lads just couldn’t find an equaliser in the second half.

Well done to all lads who stepped up in different positions, especially Archie and Tristan who went in goal a half each.
Well done to the Kings on their win, onto the next game!

COTTINGHAM YELLOWS 0-1 ARROWS
Outstanding from all of our available boys today, with our first victory since the end of February!
It was a close match throughout, but our lads were excellent across all positions. The only goal came from Harvie’s relentless work, putting pressure on the right back who put too much on the pass back to his goalkeeper who was helpless to stop the ball going into the net.
Cott gave everything to try get an equaliser but the lads defended superbly to gain their first clean sheet of the season.
⚽️ OG
👟 Harvie
⭐ Parents’ Player went to Jayden (Sponsored by Angel Newlove, HMJ Creative Design and The Crate Escape. Dog Walking Hull) and Harvie (Sponsored by Janette & Gordon Wilson, Hilarys Soft Furnishings, Julie Hudson and Dave & Denise Pedge).
Jayden was relentless all game on both wings, and was unlucky not to get on the score sheet himself. Well done to our #10!
Harvie put pressure on their defence to force the mistake for our only goal, and was superb at left back. Well done to our #70!
⭐ Coach’s Player went to Leo (Sponsored by Andy Mitchell and George & Denise Wright) and Jacob (Sponsored by AD Garden Tree Services).
Leo was our rock at the back, heading everything away and tackling anything that moved throughout the game. Well done Leo!
Jacob was our midfield maestro, breaking up play and setting up attacks. Top class from him!
Just as an aside, any one of our 11 available players today could have won either trophy. They played so well and did the Kingswood United FC Shirt proud. Well done Ellis on his first clean sheet this year, and well done to Harrison, Lewis, Jake, Theo, Tristan and Kaiden for their efforts too. It was a classic team performance 🖤🧡

ARROWS 1-4 HALL ROAD RANGERS
Just didn’t fall for us today against Hall Road. Some great play at times and lots of chances, but failure to take those opportunities and some hesitation at key moments unfortunately meant we slipped to another defeat.
⚽️ Jacob (Sponsored by AD Garden Tree Services)
👟 Tristan (Sponsored by TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire and Layered by Loren)
⭐ Coach’s MOTM went to Archie (Sponsored by Mike & Carole Blanchard) - He was outstanding today and kept their number 16 quiet for the vast majority of the game. Excellent at right back, left back and up front for the final push!
⭐ Parents’ MOTM went to Kaiden. He worked immensely hard up front and really deserved a goal, but it just didn’t fall for him today. Keep it up, Kaiden!
Three games left now - Cottingham away next week, then Cottingham at home the week after before Westella away the final game of the season.
After that, we will be at Lincoln City Football Club for the Pitchside Football - Tournaments & Events Score at the Stadium event on May 17th - we can’t wait for that!
