Supporting you to develop sustainable habits, strength, and wellness for midlife and beyond 🌿

Let’s build a life you love!

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on transformation and also how that links with trust

Not just trusting life…
but trusting timing.
Trusting readiness.

Trusting my own nervous system enough not to force growth before I can truly hold it.

Tomorrow’s Breathwork is called:
“I wonder what I’m ready to trust.”

And of course, preparing this workshop has brought up those questions in me too (interesting... but not surprising)

One thing I keep returning to is the breath.
No matter how much changes…
the breath remains

A thread of continuity through every version of ourselves... and how wonderful to find that mirrored in the journey of the Butterfly

I don’t believe that self-trust is  always about huge leaps forward

Maybe sometimes it’s simply staying close enough to ourselves to hear what’s truly ready to emerge

Is there a coaching word that doesn’t sit right with you.. let me know how this one landed or let me know what needs a musing next 🥰

During my final week with Carly, I had the privilege of meeting some inspiring people at the Ladies Who Latte networking event.

I loved being part of a space where everyone was so supportive 🤍

I also observed another week of client sessions, including personal training, virtual client coaching, and even a telephone coaching session.

I learned a lot about the different ways people communicate... and how I can adapt my own communication to suit them 💬

Finally, I attended a live Breathwork workshop and felt the transformational impact it had on my mind and body 🌬️✨

Thank you for introducing me to Breathwork, Carly, it has truly been revolutionary for me.

Thank you as well for your kind words of support throughout this placement, for answering my questions, and for encouraging my many reflections 🙏

Looking forward to taking everything I’ve learned into my next placement and future career 🚀

💗 It was a joy to host your placement and support your learning… keep us posted with what you get up to 💗

I’m Kerry, a Nutrition & Dietetics student learning from Carly 👋

This week, I’ve been exploring the different communication formats. I’ve experienced coaching sessions, watched educational videos and took part in a live virtual breathwork session.

Each format offers something different, but the most powerful ones create space for reflection 🌿

Next step… experiencing breathwork in person ✨
Join us on Tuesday from 6.15-7.15pm.

💗 Thank’s Kerry, I love these reflections... you’ll be a fab Dietitian

And those of you who would like to join the next Unwind Breathwork on Tuesday, 19th May, head to my profile for the link, or pop me a message over and I’ll send you the link 💗

Hi, I’m Kerry 👋

I’m currently on placement with Carly as part of my Nutrition & Dietetics degree.

I’m passionate about how nutrition and movement shape our health... but putting this into practice isn’t always easy.

That’s why I want to learn how to better support people on their own health journeys 💛

I’m excited to learn from Carly…

👉 Swipe to see what I took away from week one!

💗 It’s so lovely to have you here Kerry… thanks for sharing your learnings. I can’t wait to hear more of your musings 💗

She came online that day with nothing left

No words

No capacity to think through what she wanted to work on

She works in the NHS… so she gives A LOT

More than most people see

And that day… there was just nothing left to give, even to herself

There’s a past version of me would have panicked a little

Wondered if I was doing enough
I would have tried to find a way through with words...

I might have added to the exhaustion

But I’ve learned something from those days

Sometimes the most supportive thing isn’t more thinking…

It’s permission to stop

So we turned to the breath

No agenda. Nothing to figure out

Just her nervous system finally getting a moment to exhale

Afterwards she said she felt calm, she couldn’t remember when she last felt that way

Grounded. Like herself again

I’m not saying Breathwork fixes everything (because there’s nothing to fix) and she’s learning that too

Gradually learning to let herself land

I wonder how many of you are carrying a version of this right now…

Giving so much in your work, your care, your presence for others… and secretly running on fumes by the time you get home

If that’s you, my DMs are open 💗

There’s space for you here

I am this woman too…

I spent the first third of my life in my head.

Thinking
Planning
Bracing for whatever was coming next

Doing more for others than I ever did for myself

Then I started lifting weights.
And somewhere between one set and the next, the chatter stopped.

Just for a moment

But it was enough

That was the way back in

To my body. To myself.

I didn’t stop there…

I kept going… into Breathwork, into stillness, into the parts of myself I’d been too busy to meet

Slowly I learned to tend to all of me

Not just the body. Not just the mind

All of it

More energy came.
Then more capacity.

And slowly I realised… that capacity was mine too

Not just for everyone else

I started coming higher in my own life.

I found my yes. I found my no.

I had a wobble or two along the way

The kind that stops you in your tracks and asks you who you really are

And I’m still going.
I’m still discovering

What I know now is this… I’m strong enough to soften

If you’re ready to live a life that includes all of you… you’re in the right place.

There’s space for you here.

It’s World Breathing Day 🌎🫁 and I have a little story for you…

Doing some spring cleaning, I came across my old nebuliser.

A bit dusty
A few parts missing
And I just paused

For over 20 years, this was part of my daily life

Something I relied on.
Something I travelled with

Because I couldn’t trust my breath to support me

Severe asthma shaped so much of my world

And yet…

it’s been years since I’ve needed it

I still carried it for a long time.. just in case

A quiet safety blanket

But now?

It’s tucked away
Forgotten
Gathering dust

And that feels… really good

What’s changed isn’t just my breathing

Breathwork has changed how I relate to myself

My breath has become:
a way to regulate
a way to soften
a way to come back to myself
again and again

It’s supported me through burnout
through menopause
through moments where everything felt a little (ok a lot) wobbly

And I see this with my clients too

Not that Breathwork “fixes” everything…
but something shifts in how we meet ourselves

There’s less fighting
more listening
more trust in the body we’re in

So today, on World Breathing Day…

May your breath support you
May it meet you where you are
May it give you exactly what you need

And me?

May this little machine continue to gather dust 💗
