Malet Lambert YC Belles U13’s, Malet lambert, Kingston upon Hull (2026)

26/09/2026

2-2 today! 🔰

A really competitive game against a strong Tickton side. After being 2-1 up for a decent amount of the game, it was a shame to concede and draw, but upon reflection, a fair result for the game.

Excellent in defence once again from our back line, and superb going forward on the counter, with the ground-based plays we’ve been working on really starting to come to fruition.

Excellent runs, great passing, great passion and plenty of talking from the girls. A lot of positives to take from the game today!

Manager’s Player of the Match – Bella
Bella was outstanding today and thoroughly deserved Manager’s Player of the Match. I’d love to have access to her pitch coverage stats — she must have covered every blade of grass! 💪💪
Great finesse shot for the goal too. A brilliant all-round performance from Bella today. 👏

Parents’ Player of the Match – Tilly 🔰

Tilly played with real pride today and was a huge asset to us. Her determination to track back was excellent, with some really crucial tackles.
She even took a bit of friendly fire with a ball straight to the face from a clearance by Ivy! 😂 She took it like a trooper though.

A fantastic performance from our team once again today, really starting to look like a reckoned force in group 1! Well done girls! 👏🔰💪

19/09/2026

We get the win!! 💪🔰 Well done to each and everyone of them in green and yellow today.

11-goal thriller! 🔥 7–4 to Malet against a very good Cottingham side.

Every single player played their part today. Excellent to see some of the plays we’ve been working on in training coming onto the pitch, with our wide running plays really opening Cottingham up.

⭐ Parents’ Player – Dolly
Left everything out on the field today, excelling in link play both on the wing and in central midfield — and grabbing a couple of goals too!

⭐ Managers’ Player – Lizzie
Probably Lizzie’s best match for us! Up and down the wing, making it look effortless. 4 goals today, including a couple of absolute worldies!

A brilliant full-team performance today — not one player had a bad game. 💚💛

Onto the next! 💪🔰

💚💛🔰⚽ Tough defeat today for our Malet Lambert Belles ⚽🔰💛💚

The scoreline definitely didn’t reflect the game today. It was a real game of two halves, with 0
Goals scored in the second - and on a different day we could have come away with a completely different result.

Credit to Barton, who scored some amazing goals — two headers, two shots from outside the box and a penalty. They took their chances and deserved the win, but the girls made them work hard for it. 🔰

Every single player played well today, and the effort from the whole team was absolutely amazing. The girls worked hard, battled for every ball and never gave up. 💚💛

Especially in the second half, the girls really stepped up. The determination, effort and teamwork were fantastic, and they continued to fight right until the final whistle. It was a brilliant team effort and something they should all be incredibly proud of. 🔰💚

Dolly was absolutely pivotal in midfield today. She played some fantastic passes, produced some brilliant through balls and was extremely vocal throughout the game. She worked tirelessly and played a huge part in helping the team keep pushing forward. 💚💛

Ivy was a crucial part of our defensive line and had a lot of work to do all game. Her player marking and zonal marking really paid dividends. She was incredibly strong, fantastic at body shielding and gave absolutely everything. We don’t think she was beaten in any 1v1s, and her long-range throw-ins in the attacking third were really on point today. Nothing was getting past her today ! 💪💚💛🔰

Both girls were deservedly recognised for their performances today, with Ivy receiving the Parents’ Player of the Match and Dolly taking the Managers’ Player of the Match. 🏆👏💚💛

A tough result to take, but there were so many positives to take from the performance. The scoreline may not have gone our way, but the effort, attitude and determination certainly did.
Keep your heads up Belles. 💚💛🔰 You should all be proud of yourselves because we are. A win is around the corner !!

On to the next one! ⚽💚💛🔰

‼️ Player Profile number 8‼️ 🔰🔰🔰

Coaches verdict : Dolly is a fantastic asset to Malet Belles. After completing her first season with us last year, it quickly became clear that we had gained a real gem of a football player.

Technically, Dolly is Excellent… she has proven herself to be a natural goal scorer too. She has excellent vision and awareness, often keeping her head up to spot teammates and play accurate passes across the pitch.

She has great pace and is always willing to put in the work for the team. One thing that really stands out about Dolly is her commitment off the ball, we don’t think we’ve ever seen her back out of a challenge!

A talented, hardworking and committed player, Dolly is a real asset to the Malet Belles, and we’re delighted to have her with us. Excited to see her reach even higher levels this season! 💪💪💪

‼️COACHES’ PLAYER OF THE MATCH — IVY #14 ‼️

What a performance from Ivy today! 💚💛

Her 1v1 battles were absolutely brilliant. She was so strong in the challenge, shielding the ball brilliantly, turning away from pressure and finding a way to come out with the ball time and time again.

For a defender, those little moments are massive — and Ivy was outstanding at them today. She showed confidence, composure and a real willingness to compete for every ball.
And, as always, Ivy gave us plenty of entertainment off the pitch too 🤣

We’re still not entirely sure she knows the difference between a compliment and an insult… but at least she delivers both with the same confidence! 🤣

A thoroughly deserved Coaches’ Player of the Match for our number 14. 👏🏆

Well done Ivy — fantastic performance!

‼️ Player Profile number 7‼️ Sorry it’s been a while !!! 🤯🔰

Coaches verdict :

Hollys is a prolific goal scorer who has established herself as one of the club’s most dangerous attacking players. Her ability to combine pace, close ball control and clinical finishing makes her a constant threat to opposition defences.

Hollys pace is one of her biggest strengths. She can stretch defences with runs in behind, attack space quickly and use her speed to create goals and goal scoring opportunities. Her ball control allows her to stay composed when receiving the ball under pressure, while also carrying the ball at speed and keeping possession in dangerous attacking areas.

Holly is particularly effective in front of goal. Her finishing and natural instinct inside the box make her a reliable source of goals, whether finishing from close range, creating space for a shot or taking chances quickly. She has been the club’s top goal scorer in every season she has been at the team, highlighting her consistency and importance to the team’s attack.

With the 2026/27 season ahead, Holly will be looking to build on her goalscoring record and continue developing as an attacking player. With her pace, control and finishing ability, she has all the attributes to become a top top player and continue finding the back of the net. 🔰🔰🔰

‼️ TRAINER OF THE WEEK – HOLLY #9 ‼️

A massive congratulations to Holly on being named our latest Trainer of the Week!

Holly has been everything you could ask for from a forward — full of energy, always looking to make things happen, working tirelessly for the team and never giving defenders a moment's peace! ⚽️🔥

Her movement, determination and willingness to run in behind have been brilliant, but what really stands out is the work rate she puts in for the team. She doesn't just want the ball at her feet — she's constantly looking for the next opportunity and making things happen.

Well deserved, Holly! Keep working hard, keep believing and keep causing those defenders plenty of problems! 💪⚽️

Well done Holly! #9
