I never thought I’d get our team kit and my boots out again so soon , the parents of sproatley tigers are playing our under 14’s team today in our jones kit 👊⚽️🤣, if your close by come for a laugh 😹

Congratulations to fishers winning on penalty’s.

Probably the best amateur final you’l ever see, it had everything, we was 3-1 up with 10 minute to go but fishers wanted it more and just kept coming, a mistake from Jones stand in keeper let them back in it to 3-2, then what annoyed me the most is the ref told me with 3 seconds to go we had the ball on half way and only needed to belt it forward to be crowned champions but we lost the ball and fishers scored instantly from it to take it to extra time.

With tired legs from both teams fishers came out a lot stronger and made it 4-3 to them in extra time , but with minutes to go Conner Watson scored a belting over head kick to take it to penalty’s.

Quality penalty’s from both teams , but someone had to lose and unfortunately fishers keeper pulled off an outstanding save for them to win the play off final.

To many errors cost us the final today but everyone put a shift in especially the lads that played 120 minutes, man of the match was chappy who didn’t deserve to be on the loosing team, sweeps up everything , runs his heart out and has everything , how he doesn’t play a lot higher up I don’t know, proper baller 👌

I’d like to say thank you to all the jones lads from the last 2 seasons , we can be proud going all the official season unbeaten and finishing top of the league. I can now retire happy 😂, no regrets but I now get my life back and enjoy my weekends again 👍.

4 massive players missing today that would have made things a lot easier them playing but it wasn’t to be. Congratulations to fishers and Lonnie hairsine who was outstanding today , Lonnie turned in to Gareth bale 👏😂

After already securing the league, finishing top means we go straight in to the play off final, hoping we can do the double in the last ever game of the Charity league, a very tough game this Sunday, with players away on holiday and a few at Wembley for the weekend and myself only just returning to the Uk today after my holiday we have had zero time to prepare, but we still have quality through the full squad and I know the lads are keen to give it there all to see if we can do the double for Jonesy 👊⚽️

Not the final we wanted after our last league game, but I’m sure this game will be a lot cleaner this time around with 3 officials in charge and the county Fa also attending. Finishing top was what we set out to achieve and already unbeaten for the whole league season is some achievement, but please come along and try and get us over the line for this final 👊⚽️

I’m now going to turkey for 11 nights so I won’t be able to post much on here but hopefully see a lot of you on 31st May 👌

Good run out against the Nelson lads in a friendly , with 5 big players missing and having to put a left back upfront first half wasn’t the best preparation for a big game , plus players having to leave early isn’t ideal but a good run out and minutes for everyone involved, plus one of our players played for them 🤣, we missed far to many chances and got punished for it, well done to Nelson great goal at the end from Shaun to sneak the win 👍

Today we host our good friends lord Nelson, the last team jonesy played for 👍

With both teams missing a lot of players today our game still goes ahead with minutes needed in the legs of both teams with big games coming up , the score doesn’t matter at all in this one, early kick off 12.30pm noddle hill playing fields so we can all get home and out to watch man united qualify for the championship league 👊⚽️

🏆 Yes get in, we’v gone and done it in the league, golden invincibles , won 17 from 17 with the 8-0 win against cottingham before they folded that got chalked off, absolutely outstanding from the jones lads 👊⚽️

I’d just like to thank everyone who’s been involved this season especially every single player who’s been class for us all season long, and a big thank you to our captain Jack Wilcock who stepped up and made sure the lads turned up and he brought a few new class players in himself, with last seasons man of steel and captain daz jones who wasn’t available through the winter months he agreed Jack would be a great replacement to the role 💪, last big thank you goes to my assist manager Paul Jackson we’v done what we wanted to achieve for our closest friend craig jones ❤️

That’s us jones lads finished top of the charity league and straight to the play off final. Already achieved what I wanted in memory of craig jones.

It was a very tough physical game and fishers were the better team in the first half, going 1-0 down seem to wake us up 2nd half , magic from Attila soon made it 1-1 after clever work from Karl, then Attila soon got his 2nd after great play from Charlie lambert put the ball over the top for Attila to get his 2nd. Attila then came provider with a great cross to jack Wilcock who turns the fishers defence inside out to put jones 3-1 up. Fishers hit back with a very strong goal to make it 3-2 but there discipline got the better of them after a red card, But jones wasn’t finished with a great corner from Attila who so man of the match chappy score a great header near the far post to put the game out of reach. Man of the matches - chappy who was unbelievable today , and Attila who showed his class with 2 goals and 2 assists 👊⚽️

On to the final on Sunday 31st May , with a few games in between to prepare 👌
