As our season came to an end today, it wasn’t quite the performance we were hoping for…
We managed to grind out a win, but full credit to Hessle—they wanted it more at times, made things really difficult for us, and didn’t deserve to lose.
We didn’t start well, but still created plenty of chances to open the scoring. Unfortunately, we weren’t clinical enough, and it was Hessle who took the lead. After switching back to our trusted 4-5-1, Jay Beecher pulled us level, but not long after we found ourselves 2-1 down going into halftime.
The second half followed a similar pattern—Hessle stayed resilient, and we continued to miss chances. Eventually, the ball fell to Zack in the box, and he made no mistake to bring it back to 2-2. We hoped that would spark us into life, but Hessle kept battling and even had a big chance of their own.
Finally, our third goal came from a great bit of play down the wing and unselfishly played across the face of goal where rylan was there to to make it 3-2—and that’s how it ended.
Performance aside, to come away with a win when not at our best shows real character 💪
It’s been a brilliant first season—just two losses in 18 games and around 115 goals scored. I couldn’t be prouder of the effort and commitment the lads have shown all season.
Massive thank you to Andy helping me out, I know he isn’t on here but the lads really think a lot of him and it’s genuinely appreciated 💚
Thank you to our first aider Gemma who is also fantastic with the lads, always there to help out, she won’t mind me saying this but as bonkers as she is, she is great 😂💚
Our no1 fans - the parents who turn up week in week out supporting the lads, rallying around sorting lifts out, putting the respect barrier up every home game and all the other general help, it doesn’t go unnoticed 💚
Coaches’ Player of the Match: Frazer – came on at halftime and was rock solid, winning everything in front of him 💪

💚💚 EST 2025 PROMOTED 2026 💚💚
Today we needed a point against a strong West Hull side, and we knew they’d be up for it with promotion still in their sights.
The game started evenly for the opening 15 minutes, with both teams playing some great football, but it was Yorkies who took the lead. From there, we really found our rhythm - scoring five unanswered goals and controlling the game in a dominant performance to seal our promotion in style.
To achieve promotion in our very first season with a squad put together just 9 months ago is a true credit to these lads. Some teams spend years trying to get out of this league - for us to do it at the first attempt is outstanding and a credit to every single player.
One game left next week before a well-earned rest after a long season, then attention turns to what promises to be an exciting pre-season. The hard work will start, and we’ll be looking to come back even stronger next season and do it all over again 💪
There have been plenty of highs, a few lows, and the odd dodgy decision along the way, but I’ve loved every minute of it - and wish I’d done it years ago.
Final Score: East Hull 5-1 West Hull

With no game for three weeks, we arranged a friendly to keep the lads sharp ahead of our final two fixtures.
With a few players missing and two outfield lads stepping in to share goalkeeper duties, it was a great test against a well-organised side doing really well in the league above.
The opposition started brightly, moving the ball well, but we grew into the game and created some great chances of our own. We went into the break 1–0 down, but felt we were very much in it.
A few changes at half-time and some positional switches gave us more energy and intent. We started the second half strongly, pushing for an equaliser, but found ourselves 2–0 down after a goalkeeping error (no blame at all – stepping up out of position).
The next goal was always going to be crucial. To the lads’ credit, heads stayed up and the belief never dropped and we kept pushing, the ball soon fell to Zack on edge of the box and he produced a brilliant strike finding the top corner to make it 2–1.
That gave us more momentum, we defended well when asked and soon got our reward with a fast counter attack finished off neatly by Jack.
We had a chance to sn**ch it at the end, with a last-second effort from the edge of the box just drifting wide.
A fair result overall and a really valuable run-out, with everyone getting plenty of minutes 💪

A 17-goal thriller today — and thankfully, we was on the right side of it.
We started fast once again, piling on the pressure with wave after wave of attacks. It took around 10 minutes to break the deadlock, with Toby finishing neatly — and that was just the beginning. The goals then came thick and fast, giving us a strong 5–1 lead at half-time, it was a brilliant first half of football for us.
In the second half, we switched to three at the back to really push on, and it paid off with eight more goals. However, committing so many players forward did leave us exposed at times, and we were punished with three second-half goals from South Cave.
All in all, it was a brilliant game of football — full of quality, great play, and some outstanding goals.
Every player put in a fantastic performance again today, with some lads really standing out. But it was Zack and Layton who took home the awards.
Zack stepped up to go in goal in the first half, then moved into midfield after the break, where he caused all sorts of problems and capped off his performance with a hat-trick.
Layton started at right-back and was, as always, solid — winning everything and giving 100% work rate. He then stepped up to go in goal in the second half for the team.
A quick mention as well for Oli, who had a frustrating start at East Hull due to a long injury layoff. He’s worked incredibly hard to get back fit, and it’s paying off — another couple of goals today and a great performance again, showing us why he scored so many goals last season for his previous team.
Jay B is also on fire at the moment, with 11 goals in his last four games — giving 100% for the team week in, week out.

Dare I say it… our best performance? It’s definitely right up there 💪
Against a strong Hall Road side, we were switched on from the first whistle. It took less than a minute for Jay to find the back of the net, and that really set the tone for the rest of the game. Every single lad was at it today—an outstanding team performance from start to finish.
Credit to all 15 players involved. The starting 11 set the standard, and the four subs made a huge impact and carried the standard on. It was great to see everyone get plenty of game time again.
Another dominant display and a big step closer to promotion in what’s been an incredible first season.
A big thank you to Josh and Layton for stepping in and sharing goalkeeping duties after Matt picked up a broken thumb in training—speedy recovery, Matt 👊
The awards could have gone to a number of players today—Jay, Brad, Rylan and Oli all stood out—but this week they go to Jacob and Zack.
Referee’s MOTM: Jacob – rock solid at the back with a fantastic work rate, leading by example.
Coaches’ MOTM: Zack – caused problems all game and topped it off with an absolute screamer from 30 yards.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums who support our boys week in, week out ❤️💚
As the season edges closer to the end, we’re focused on finishing strong and pushing for promotion.
Today was a tough test against a strong West Hull side, and we asked the lads for a fast start — that’s exactly what they delivered. We raced into a 3–0 lead inside the first 25 minutes with some great football being played.
A lapse in concentration just before half time allowed Yorkies back into the game, making it 3–1 at the break.
The second half was much tougher with the wind against us, but the boys dug in and worked hard. We managed to grab a fourth goal to give us some breathing room. Yorkies scored again late on to make it 4–2, but it was too little, too late to threaten a comeback.
It was great to get everyone plenty of game time today with lots of changes throughout the match, everyone in the team played great.
A few standout performances today — Matt made some brilliant saves, and Layton Crooks made a real impact after coming on at half time.

After no game last week and the disappointment the week before, it was great to be back in action today and even better to get back to winning ways 💪
A dominant performance from start to finish with every lad putting in a great shift for the team.
We started on the front foot and eventually opened the scoring when Warren unselfishly squared it for Jay to tap in. Jay was at it all game and soon added a second with a brilliant solo run and a rocket into the bottom corner. After that the floodgates opened and we ended up with a comfortable 7-1 victory.
Referee’s player went to Brad the lad is an absolute machine 💪
Coach’s player went to Jay B who was relentless all game and finished with four goals 💪
Big mentions as well to Zack pulling the strings all game, Harry non stop down the wing and unlucky not to score, and Ryan making a big impact off the bench with two goals.
Also all the other lads who give everything…
