Myton Warriors under 9’s 2026

🏉❤️ WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A WARRIOR ❤️🏉

Another brilliant morning at Warrior Park as our Myton Warriors U9s came together for another fantastic training session from 9:30am until 11:00am.

Today's session focused on:

🛡️ Defensive drills
💥 Tackling technique
⚡ Line speed
🤝 Teamwork and communication

The players worked incredibly hard throughout the morning, learning how to defend as a team, support each other, and make every tackle count. We then finished with some small-sided games where ball control, communication, teamwork, and having fun were the main focus.

What stood out most wasn't just the rugby skills on show—it was the smiles, encouragement, friendships, and team spirit that make this group so special.

Being a Warrior is about much more than rugby. It's about building confidence, making friends, learning respect, working hard for your teammates, and enjoying every minute along the way.

Jax put in a fantastic shift at training, showing great effort, focus, and a really positive attitude throughout every drill. He worked hard from start to finish and never stopped trying, even when things got tough.

What really stood out was his willingness to listen, learn, and apply what the coaches were asking for. That kind of attitude is exactly what Trainer of the Week is all about.

Jacob brought brilliant energy into today’s training session and showed a fantastic attitude right from the start. He worked hard across all the drills, stayed focused, and gave everything he had throughout the session.

What really impressed the coaches was the way Jacob kept listening and responding to feedback, then immediately trying to put it into practice. That effort to learn and improve really stood out today.

Please note that Myton Warriors U9s training is cancelled today as the team heads off to take part in the fantastic Hull Wyke Gala Day!

Our young Warriors have been invited to join what promises to be an action-packed day of rugby, fun, friendship, and memories. With multiple teams attending, there'll be plenty of rugby on display, lots of tries, muddy kits, smiling faces, food, refreshments, raffles, and a brilliant community atmosphere.

This is what grassroots rugby is all about giving children the opportunity to play the game they love, make new friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime. 💚❤️

Harvey played really well in both defence and attack. With his eyes on the ball his legs are right there chasing the ball until the last whistle. Fantastic effort tonight from Harvey. Showing the true warrior spirit throughout all three games.
