Apologies to everyone who was looking forward to joining us this week but we’ve cancelled our parkrun as our course is saturated after this week's rain and needs time to recover. ☔️

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We hope to be back next week. 🤞

Please help spread the word to save people making an unnecessary trip.

Join us in support of World Cancer Day and be part of an amazing community event!

Let’s come together to raise awareness, celebrate strength, and support those affected by cancer. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, we’d love to see you join Forest Rec 5K Your Way ambassador, Lizzie and Lincoln 5K Your Way ambassador, Daniel at Goole. You’ll meet those from the Cleethorpes, York, Halifax, Harrogate, Sheffield, Doncaster and Beverley groups!

🌟 5k Your way is an initiative provided by Move Against Cancer.

🔷 We are a cancer support group with a difference.
🔷 Walk, cheer, run, or volunteer to show your support for the cancer community at a linked parkrun.
🔷 Socialise after with a coffee and cake, or even breakfast.

🙌🏻 ANYONE is welcome! People living with cancer, people recovering from cancer, friends and family as well as health care professionals.

Our Allyson Kent 💙

Tomorrow at BWp we will be remembering Allyson Kent, friend, inspirational parkrunner and ambassador for 5k Your Way, Move Against Cancer, who passed away last Saturday. We invite you to wear blue and to join us in a special round of applause in her memory.

If you would like to attend Allyson’s funeral, it will be held at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby, on Tuesday 5 November at 10.30.

Beverley Westwood 5K Your Way, Move Against Cancer is Allyson’s legacy. She helped set up the group to offer support to others affected by cancer and to encourage them to walk, run, cheer or volunteer at parkrun. The group meets near the start, next to their flag, on the last Saturday of the month. If you know of anyone who might benefit from joining the group please encourage them to come along.
