Yesterdays training was extra special as we celebrated Harpers Birthday 🥳

We had lots of fun throughout in the heat with lots of fun games which ended in a water fight 🔫 before we moved on to some birthday cake and getting a look at the Eclipse (Thanks Beth and Nick) 😎

Absolutely melting tonight at training but it didn’t stop the girls turning up in numbers and working hard 🔥

Tonight we focused a lot on passing to our team mates and immediately moving into space after the pass.
Started off with a favourite In Elsa where we had a “Safe girl” where we could prevent ourselfs from being Frozen by passing to the safe team mate and finding some space. All the girls did amazing. We then moved onto a fun game of foot bowling to really work on the passing technique before we moved onto our pirate game where we had to pass and move the ball between us to collect the treasure, making sure we moved back and forwards as a team🔥 before ending on a 3v3 winner stays on to show off our passing and Teamwork ⚽️

Our trainer of the week goes to Indi, she started off the session with some fantastic ball control in Elsa before working extremely hard on her passing, even when she got frustrated with herself the hard work didn’t stop and when it came to the passing game and match at the end the hard work really paid off as wow, some of the passing and team work from herself was amazing to watch 🔥 Indi is sponsored by LDC Driving School: Kristian Stork

Our next trainer of the week goes to Isla, again Isla started off with some great ball control and when she was the safe team mate showed great communication when in open space ready to receive the ball. Our coaches player of the match goes to Emily who came down to help out from the Valkyries. She really came and put on a show! Some great solo efforts cutting in from the side, constantly supporting her team mates up and down the pitch and didn’t stop working hard. Was great to see her playing with such a smile and managed to bag herself 4 goals along the way🔥

Our parents player of the match goes to Harper, or should we say Jude Bellingham now? Not only did she work as hard as she always does, the confidence with the ball today was amazing. Driving the ball out from the back with some great runs dribbling through teams, picking out some amazing passes but also making sure she was in a smart position throughout the game which supported her team mates! Not to mention the goal she scored, wow!🔥 Harper is sponsored by DM Professional painting and decorating.

Yesterdays training was another great session with lots of fun and hard work that was going on🔥

We started off with some ball mastery and skills before moving into a fun game which promoted trust and communication where the girls got paired up, 1 girl had the ball and their eyes closed and the partner had to communicate where they needed to go with the ball to complete the course 🔥 we then moved onto a favourite of the girls in Elsa, then a match which saw some brilliant attack and defence on show!

Our next trainer of the week is Neave, another girl who has only been training with us for a few weeks but has already show so much improvement. Her confidence on the ball was great to see as she improved her ball mastery, and in the match she was getting involved up and down the pitch putting a great performance in! Well done Neave ⚽️

Tonight we trained with our friends Kingswood United Valkyries and what a session it was which ended in a great game!

Lots of great football on show it was an absolute pleasure to see how far they’ve all come a year after they split into 2 teams.

Another warm session down at bude and the girls brought the heat as always 🔥

After a quick warm up we got straight into it with lots of 1v1s where we looked at how to defend in these situations adapting the surf board manoeuvre as we got close to the attacker 🏄‍♀️
As we rotated the girls we also moved into a bigger group where we looked at defending against more than 1 attacker, while the attackers looked at making the pitch nice and wide and using our friends in space ⚽️
Before we finished off with a match and the obligatory water fight 🤣

Trainer of the week goes to Ivy, her understanding and timing in defence has always been really good so was challenged to retain the ball once winning the tackle and either pick a pass or drive the ball up the pitch which she did fantastically and ended up doing this without being prompt 🔥 Ivy is sponsored by SolarFrost Window Films

Our next trainer of the week goes to Eva, it was Eva’s 2nd training session with us and she has fit right in. She listened really well and took to the 1v1s great, winning the ball back but also working hard too. In the match she showed us that fire and determination as she battled all over the pitch with some great control on show too as she grabbed herself a brilliant goal ⚽️

Back to it this week in some more scorching heat 🔥🔥 Training a day earlier due to England playing tomorrow 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Today we started off with rock paper scissors, where the winner was being chased to encourage quick turns before playing it with a ball to again encourage turning and keeping the ball under control.
We then moved onto a carousel of different drills, once was for switching from close control to running with the ball, another was to shield the ball from the defender and a feee style zone where the girls picked a drill 🙌🏼 before moving onto a competitive match🔥

Our trainer of the week goes to Harper, normally we are used to seeing her steel in defence but today she amazed me with how quick she was turning on the ball, winning the ball back and keeping possession and dribbling and putting herself in great positions to shoot which meant she scored a couple of absolute screamers 🔥 Harper is sponsored by DM Professional painting and decorating

Our next trainer of the week goes to Indi, as always Indi was ruthless with the ball but what stood out more today was how welcome she made Eva feel today. As it was her first training session with a team Indi went out of her way to help and support Eva in every drill and the match, making sure she felt apart of a team and celebrating goals with her too.
