The flow of water in the Thames at Kingston at the moment is, unsurprisingly, very low at just over 5 metres cubed of water per second. In the winter the flow can get up to 350 m³/sec or more.

We're now well into our Summer series of Sunday races at Kingston upon Thames. For those interested in what's going on, we have have 2 races in the afternoon starting at 3pm and around 4pm. Launching and recovering the dinghies is harder now that the water level in the Thames has dropped so much. [Photo is from a race last month].

Minima Sailors went downriver to Twickenham YC Annual Regatta at the weekend. Picking up the trophies for the Enterprise and Handicap Classes.

Three shouts on a Monday night…
During a training session at the lifeboat station yesterday evening volunteer crew were paged to help locate a person in the water by Teddington Lock. Once this was safely resolved alongside Metropolitan Police the D class lifeboat named Peter Saw returned to the lifeboat station but was immediately re-tasked to assist with an incident near Molesley lock.
On their passage home, the crew were once more asked by to assist with an incident this time at Kingston Bridge.
The boat eventually returned to the Lifeboat station at approximately 1030 pm to be met by the shore crew with cold drinks and biscuits.
