Calum Hughes Sports Massage

We’re sad to announce Calum will be leaving The Recovery Lab at the start of next month, to take up a new role at Birmingham City FC!

His last day in clinic will be Thursday 4th July, and there are still spaces available to see him before he leaves.

We are also extending the opportunity for our clients/friends to join us at The Exchequer at 5pm this Sunday (30th June), to join us in wishing him the very best of luck. We hope to see you all there!

The year that was 2023…

Last year was a huge career year for me, deciding to get the head down and really try to pursue a full-time career in sports massage therapy!

The full rebrand of CHSM began in January, investing in better branding and equipment, to provide the best service possible for my customers!

I then began working alongside the guys at Goliath MMA, sponsoring and , both of whom have gone on to record big wins this year! Only the beginning for these boys 🤞🏻.

I graduated from Abertay University with a 2:1 in Strength and Conditioning, before deciding to join the brilliant team over at !

Here, thanks to Caitlyn’s patience and guidance, i’ve been able to improve my massage skills, whilst adding new techniques such as sports and K-taping, and medical acupuncture.

I left my job in June to pursue massage therapy full time, having 5 clients in my first week at The Recovery Lab. Fast forward 6 months, and i’ve been fully booked in clinic for 8 weeks straight, whilst having the opportunity to work with some massive local sports teams, at Raith Rovers and the Fife Flyers!

We’re in a really good place going into 2024, and I can’t wait to see what the new year brings. I’d like to thank you all for the support i’ve received, it’s really helped motivate me to make the leap into pursuing this as a career, which i’m very grateful for.

Kelvin Allan Sponsorship!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that i’ll be sponsoring up and coming MMA fighter Kelvin Allan!

Like Mo, Kelvin trains out of Goliath MMA in Cowdenbeath, and has a record of 1-1-0!

Kelvin initially contacted me regarding pain and stiffness throughout the back, preventing him from performing at his best. After a few sessions, i’m delighted to say he is in excellent shape going into his next bout on Sunday!

BSc (Hons) Strength and Conditioning ✅

After 4 years at Abertay University, I have now graduated with a 2:1 in Strength and Conditioning!

I’m very grateful to everyone who has helped and supported me throughout my time at university, and I now look forward to applying the knowledge i’ve gained here going forward, to aid your recovery from injury!

Small increase of price guys to keep up with all our costs and inflation (booooring!)

I make a point in not increasing costs, this is the first time in over 3 years. I don’t plan doing it again for another 3 🙌🏻! So keep us busy, book in, and get your moneys worth out of the clinic.
