🌧️Horrendous weather for the final game of the season! But what a brilliant result away from home🤘🏻

We took the lead early which was cancelled out quick by graziers and sent us in at half time at 1-1. After a big half time chat from the lads we pushed on and started playing like we know we can and the goals came flying in and the lads dominated for the rest of the game as we slotted another 5 but with chances missed could’ve been much much more. The last few games of this season have showed us what we can be excited for next season.

Refs man of the match today went to Harrison who came away with 3 goals and 2 assists and was relentless all game and just kept going!

Goal scorers
Owen Spires x2
Jak Harrison x3
Charlie Smith

Assists

Jak Harrison x2
Danny Thompson x2
Dylan Metcalfe
Andrew Mchale

Brilliant from the lads today and a massive thank you to everyone who’s been down and supported us during the season! And of course the lads who have played a massive part this season and kept the team going.

And to The Railway Inn, Pontefract for being our home for the season once again been great working with you guys and thank you for all the support. Looking forward to many more years 🤝💚🖤

What a beautiful Sunday morning for football!☀️ the lads who turned up not knowing what to expect with just having 12 men with lads having a trip to Wembley and others with work commitments. We still turned up and put the game on! With a solid team performance throughout starting from the back where we held great experience even while being short being lead by captain Beau Lyman, Carl Hodgson in centre with Alex Mossop and Jarred Cian Holmes as fullbacks who were solid all game happy to recieve the ball and play out from the back and get in on the attack. But it didn’t stop in defence midfield and attack had there A game on from kick off with Josh Wild, Ryan Russell frair and Tristan Elliot all linking up well with our lone striker Owen Spires which every single player caused issues for graziers defenders.
We started off well and the levels never really dropped one of the best team performances we’ve seen this season. Each individual from back to front worked for one another and it was great to watch and a massive bonus looking into next season!

Thank you to graziers for coming back to the pub and good look with final games of the season.

Brilliant result this morning from the boys! We took an early scare when the referee awarded a very poor penalty to the opposition however Tom Griffin pulled off a wonder save to keep the game at 0-0. Wrenthorpe had a good 10 minutes of running the game until the boys found a different level of performance and started to create their own chances. With a few penalty calls our way being waved away by the referee. Until the last 10 minutes when the ball dropped to the feet of Nathan Townend and he clipped it into the top corner to seal the 1-0 victory for the boys.

full time 1-0 UTR

Man of the match today goes to Josh Wild who was a ball of energy like always up and down the field putting a real shift in. 💚🖤
