That brings another season to an end for our first team, and the first ever season for our reserve team. There have been plenty of highs and a lot of lows, but everyone stuck together and worked hard throughout.
There were a lot of changes at the club this season, with people leaving and new faces coming in, but overall the lads battled on and gave everything.
We now take a well-deserved break over the summer so everyone can rest before pre-season begins and planning for next season gets underway. We have a clear direction of what we are looking to achieve next season.
We just want to thank The Mad Ox for hosting us this season and for their continued support.
Finally, thank you to everyone for all your support throughout the season — it’s massively appreciated.

As a club, we are heartbroken by the sudden loss of our friend and coach, Jason Liu. He was a huge part of our community, giving his time, energy, and passion to everyone involved. He will be deeply missed by us all.
A JustGiving page to raise funds for a defibrillator at the club, helping to protect players, coaches, and supporters in the future was set up by West End Park.
Any funds raised beyond the cost of the defibrillator will be given directly to Jason's family to support them with funeral costs and during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean a great deal. If you can’t donate, simply sharing this post would help us reach others.

Thank you for your support, and for helping us honour Jason’s memory in a meaningful way.

MAD OX 3-2 WYCO
⚽️ Muggy
⚽️ Levon
⚽️ Jordan
MOM: Levon & Travis
Mad Ox hosted Wyco on a windy but pleasant day and, for once, had a strong squad available, with three lads making their debuts.
Ox lined up with Benji in goal; a back four of Travis, McKenzie, Tilford and Jordan; Jayden and Lucca in midfield; with Levon, Kyle and Ceesay supporting Muggy up top. On the bench were Pearson, Jak and James, while injured pair Taylor and Marshall were there cheering the boys on.
Ox dominated the opening 20 minutes. Muggy fired just over the bar twice, while Ceesay tested the keeper. The breakthrough finally came when the impressive Levon swung a great ball into the box and Muggy arrived at the back post to ram home for 1-0. Muggy then went through on the keeper, rounded him, but unfortunately lost control of the ball.
Wyco are a decent side and worked their way back into the game. A free kick was not properly cleared and they slammed home the equaliser for 1-1. Kyle then hit a daisy-cutter just wide, while Lucca and Jayden were at the heart of most of Ox’s attacking play. Levon also smashed an effort from 25 yards that rattled the bar, and at half-time it was 1-1.
In the second half, Pearson, Jak and Fellows came on, and again it was Ox who enjoyed most of the possession and created the better chances. Playing against the wind, McKenzie and Tilford were outstanding, heading everything away.
Ox regained the lead when Jordan superbly found Levon, who passed to Ceesay. Ceesay then reversed it back into Levon’s path, and with the keeper rushing out, Levon elegantly chipped him for a superbly taken goal.
The game began to stretch, and Benji made two excellent saves down by the post. Pearson then hit a rasping shot that went agonisingly just over the bar. Jak was everywhere and impressed, as did Lucca and Fellows. Muggy also shot just wide.
Ox then made it 3-1 when Jordan drove into the box, played a lovely one-two with Kyle, and smashed home a fine goal that his captain’s display fully deserved.
Wyco were not done, though, and their midfielder delivered a superb ball into the box for their striker to bullet a header home and make it 3-2. Ox managed the final ten minutes well, although there were still chances to put the game to bed. Jayden, with the goal at his mercy, shot straight at the keeper, and Ceesay beat three men before smashing his effort wide.
The final whistle went with Ox winning 3-2 in a good contest, although it should really have been out of sight with better finishing.
Up the Ox 🐂

MAD OX RESERVES 3–4 WHITE HART
A cold, wet and windy Sunday morning was brightened up by a game on the 3G, but unfortunately the result didn’t go our way.
The first half was disrupted by injuries, with our keeper John picking up an ankle injury. Adam had to move from centre-back into goal, and White Hart quickly took advantage to go 1–0 up. That’s how it stayed going into half-time.
The second half was full of fight and goals. Ox pulled it back to 1–1 with a lovely strike from Tommy outside the area. White Hart then went back in front, but a great assist from our stand-in keeper — a long ball forward — found Jordon R, who made it 2–2.
We were then forced into two more changes, with David and Harrison both picking up knee injuries. Once again White Hart took the lead, but once again Mad Ox responded — this time from the penalty spot, with Harley calmly slotting it under the keeper to make it 3–3.
Then came the most controversial moment of the game, as a White Hart striker, standing miles offside, slotted home what proved to be the winner.
Fair play to White Hart — good game, and good luck for the rest of the season.
