What a quality Saturday afternoon we had at the The Magnet Castleford

Our winner Kirk Davis — when this lad turns up in form he’s an absolute nightmare to play. One minute he’s wiring tops, next minute he’s taking out finishes like he thinks he’s on Sky Sports. Looks like the winning ways are back… bad news for everyone else.

Our runner up the one and only Tony Watts. This bloke’s basically the local darting superhero. Some people have posters of Luke Littler on their wall, others have Tony’s average written on a beer mat. When he’s on it he can seriously throw — although there was still the occasional visit that looked like he’d been pushed while throwing.

Great darts, loads of laughs, plenty of moaning at missed doubles and at least 14 “these darts are bent” excuses throughout the day. Roll on the next one 🎯

Well what a night we had last night at the A1 Football Factory, the darts on show were absolutely different class. It was red hot in there but the ale was flowing even quicker — some lads got better as the night went on, some looked like they’d never seen a dartboard before.

Our winner Dee Haych was absolutely superb all night. The scoring power mixed with some deadly finishing saw him completely dismantle Daz in the final. When this lad gets rolling and starts piling in the trebles, good luck stopping him.

Our runner up Darren Ruddock once again showed why he’s one of the toughest players around. Heavy scoring, big pressure darts and when he’s fully on it, he’s an absolute nightmare to catch. Just came up against a man on a mission in the final.

Another cracking night with quality darts, plenty of laughs, sweating buckets and the usual madness. Well done boys 👏🎯

Malt Shovel Pontefract week 3 darts league.

Well yesterday was absolutely scorching — sweaty hands, air con blowing darts into the 5s and 1s, and a few paddies thrown for good measure. Proper darts weather… if you enjoy feeling like you’re throwing in a greenhouse.

Our winner was Gavin Smith Nothing stops this lad. He could be outside, throwing in 20mph winds, board swinging like a pub sign, and he’d still somehow find a way to win. Quality again from Gav — calm, consistent, and just annoying enough to keep winning.

Runner-up was Wayne Woodhouse. Nothing stops Wayne from finding a final, does it? No matter what form he’s in, he just creeps through the draw like he’s got a season ticket for finals night. Is he finding his form once again? It’s starting to look that way.

Brilliant night, plenty of laughs, plenty of drama, and plenty of darts landing nowhere near where they were aimed. Roll on the next one 🎯
