One of the things that really helps to keep me motivated on my fitness journey is the feedback I get when I log my exercise on my fitness app 🌟
Here’s what Strava told me after my little walk before work yesterday morning…
Have a great day, everyone! X
🌅 Morning all! 🌅
Are you someone like me, coming back to fitness after a break?
You know what? It’s ok. Life happens. I get it.
And - also - your body will probably thank you for the extended rest. So no, you’re NOT lazy, btw.
✅ Some more good news: our comeback doesn’t need to be extreme to be effective. Don’t start where you left off - it’s really important to go back in gently, and with a positive mindset, rather than all guns blazing, and then get all frustrated (or worse, injured)!
So here are my ‘Top 5 Tips’ on how to “restart smart” - and actually enjoy it:
1️⃣ Start smaller than you think – Consistency beats intensity. Short, easy sessions > all-out burnouts.
2️⃣ Lower the bar (for now) – You’re rebuilding momentum, not chasing old PRs.
3️⃣ Pick movement you like – Walks, lifting, yoga, dancing—joy keeps you showing up.
4️⃣ Schedule it like a meeting – Treat workouts as non-negotiable you-time.
5️⃣ Celebrate every win – Showing up counts. Feeling better counts. Progress isn’t linear.
No guilt. No punishment. Just one workout at a time. You’ve got this 🫶🔥

Ooh, hello!! 👋
As I emerge from my post-marathon recovery / hibernation... I'm curious to know whether I should resurrect this page - and in fact, my PT business... what do people think?
🌟 So, if you've followed me since I qualified as a PT, what did you enjoy / find helpful about my posts?
🌟 If you were one of my previous clients, what did you find beneficial/enjoyable about us working together?
🌟 If there is something you'd like to see / read / learn about, what it might be?
Interested to hear your thoughts!
Have a fab week, everyone x
