We did it! Got the keys, papers signed and first of load of furniture in! No we haven't bought a house, just renting for now but still pretty epic!

So life is changing fast for me as still need to work my notice, pack, move and start a new job in another city!

All really exciting but it does mean I'm going to be quiet on here while I do all the stuff and figure out my next steps.

I've decided that this block will also be my final one to free up some time to literally get my life togther 😂

Job done ✅...
I'm now off to spend the weekend in Exeter which will be full of Boxercise refresher courses to brush up on my teaching & techniques
to come back fresh & exciting in January 🤸‍♂️

No matter what your goals are, here are 5 healthy eating habits that are guaranteed to support them all!

🌈Eat a rainbow- eat a variety of different coloured fruit & veg a day especially dark leafy greens, red & orange vegatables. Aim for 3 or more servings of vegetables a day and 2 or more servings of fruit a day.

💦 Drink plenty of water- water is life so make sure your drinking enough of it, aim for at least 2 litres a day.

🧑‍🍳 Prep easy to eat & on the go foods for busy day- form the habit of preparing food for those busy days so you always have healthy options at hand for when you need them most!

🥣 Always eat breakfast- kick start your day with some much needed fuel after a night of fasting.

🤎 Eat whole & unprocessed foods- by eating wholegrains pasta, grains & brown rice and reducing processed foods in your diet you reduce your risk of diabetes & heart disease.

Forming long term habits doesn't happen over night, it takes time. Try one at a time. Be patient & don't give up if you slip up. It's not all or nothing. Life is all about moderation & a little bit of what you fancy when you want it!

Do you sometime times life is getting in the way of you getting your move on? I get it, a big fat to do list & zero energy in the tank... Here are 5 ways to get moving at home when you can't make it to class...

1. Clean the house! Not only will this clock up a whole load of steps but mentally can help you feel less stressed & anxious too. Get the music on & have a house cleaning, calorie burning party!

2. You would be surprised again how many steps are clocked up putting washing on & then hanging it out to dry. If you have clothes already on the airer even better as you get your stomp on putting them all away. Also another mental boost of fresh clothes waiting for you & another job done!

3. The weekly food shop... One of life necessities that can take up time & on the plus side.. energy. Get a list together (to stop you buying crap you don't need), your favorite playlist & go clock up those steps! Really push the boat out by parking further away than normal. Give your self an extra point for yet another job done.

4. This is an all time extra feel good activity, spend some time with your pets playing with them & get active. Walk your dog, play fetch, be silly! Cats you can get a dingly dangly play thing & spend time on your feet getting them to try & catch it.

5. Now I know the weather is pretty awful at the moment, but if you catch a break from the rain, pop out for a quick 15 minutes into your garden. Start sorting out the beds ready for next year, pull up the dead stuff & if your lucky a bit of sunshine come out giving you an extra serotonin boost!

The days are getting shorter, mornings darker and the temperature colder... Not the most motivating of conditions to keep you consistent with your training goals is it? Mornings you want to stay curled up in your warm bed and the evenings the comfort of pajamas and early nights is calling...

However there are a few things you can do to make it easier on your self to remain consistent and to continue to slay those goals...
❄️Most importantly make sure you have the right gear to keep you warm during your workouts, as well as warm coats for before and after. Your not going to want to brave the cold to get to your gym if your already cold to begin with!
❄️Have shorter workouts making them more time effective & mentally more doable & ensures that you are maintaining the training habit.
❄️Grab a training buddy who would also like support remaining consistent, a bit of social pressure works wonders!
❄️As the weather gets dull so can the same workouts, you can find your self less motivated... maybe it's time to try something new to keep you excited & motivated!
❄️If the idea of going to the gym is too much in this weather, maybe it's time to make a nice space at home & give some online classes a go!

Boxercise Boxing & Cardio Tabata

Tonights Boxercise.. week 1 of this 4 week block 🥊

Each block we focus on an exercise that we test at the begining of the block and then re-test at week 4. We're back to lunges this block, adding resistance and weights for our advanced crew. The reason for this... So everyone can see their progress! World's greatest motivator!

After our 1 minute lunge test we hit a Boxing & Cardio Tabata, 20 seconds Boxing followed by 10 seconds high intensity Cardio 🔥

We revisited our lunges this time hitting a split squat 30 seconds on and 10 seconds off leg burn before ending the session with a classic We Will Rock You Queen finisher! 💥

What a session! Not gonna lie, feel like I've been flaggining all day but this absolutely blew all the cobwebs away and had a whole new burst of energy ⚡
