Further to our earlier post about Steve’s Saturday Night Party tonight, for those wanting to watch the Rugby, it will be on in the Templar Room with full commentary audio on. You will need to still use the main lounge bar for drinks. The Rugby will still be on the screens in the main lounge but obviously with no sound.

Family fun is here tonight with September’s edition of Steve’s Saturday Night Party. There will be the usual games and music, with prizes to be won. The action gets underway from 7.00pm. As always, it’s a free event, just turn up and all ages are welcome. We are open from 1.00pm until 11.00pm.

It was this time last week that after the first ever women’s cricket presentation event, a large number of our members came together to surprise club legend John Martin to celebrate and recognise his service to Whitkirk Cricket Club. We were also privileged to have local MP Richard Burgon come along and say some very kind words about John. Richard then surprised us all by advising that he had tabled a parliamentary motion requesting for John’s service to be recognised in the House of Commons. This has since been published and signed by 11 MPs. There were many other kind words by people on the night, along with gifts, and quite a lot of emotion ! Our thanks go to all of those that were involved in organising the evening and for all those that took time out to come along to show their appreciation.

Well at the moment the current forecast suggests it’s going to stay dry throughout the afternoon tomorrow. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

We will have a bouncy castle and inflatable obstacle course for children to enjoy. DJ Steve is gonna be here playing tunes from all the decades.

Food wise, there will be hot dogs and pork pies available from the kitchen as well as a sweet shop for those wanting the sugary treats !

This will all take place between 3.00pm and 6.00pm.

Before that at 2.00pm, Leeds United take on Brentford in the Premier League. We will be showing that live inside the clubhouse on our screens to get the day started off.

The club will be open from 12.00pm until 10.00pm.

As always, this is a club event for members and their families.

Please remember to bring some cash with you for the kids activities and kitchen.

Should the weather take a turn and it rains, we may have to close the bouncy castle and obstacle course off for safety reasons but DJ Steve will keep you all entertained !

Join us this Bank Holiday Sunday for some family fun.

We will have a bouncy castle and inflatable obstacle course for children to enjoy. DJ Steve will be set up outside playing tunes from all the decades (that gives you a pretty big dancefloor).

Obviously a lot of this is weather permitting so fingers crossed the rain doesn’t come. In the event of poor weather, there’s obviously still the Leeds game, DJ Steve will set up inside, and the kitchen and sweet shop will be open.

An afternoon watching the races is in full swing, with the drinks flowing and food spread laid out. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves and based on the weather at York, it’s probably better sat inside here watching instead !
