Collingham Womens Football Club

Back to back games today for CWFC. First game again Burley FC 1-0 loss but it was an even game , and we were unlucky not to score. POM went to Charlotte. Second game was against Killinghall. 4-2 result. Two great goals scored by Bea and Charlotte. Awesome efforts in goal by Liz. Once again, the scores not reflecting the performance and efforts of the whole CWFC team. Well done everyone. The next game is ours!

CWFC’s talents don’t just stay on the football pitch, this weekend some of team took on some inspiring sporting challenges. Rachel & Estelle took on The Lap, an ultra Marathon, Nikki took to the streets of London for a 100km night ride and Ali took on the Leeds half Marathon. As if playing football wasn’t enough, these women are such an inspiration. Well done girls…What’s next! 💪⚽️💪

CWFC’s hosted the first women’s wellness evening.

A great turn out for our first event, we welcomed guest speakers covering a number of topics from menopause, strength and fitness, physio and mental health.

We raised a fantastic £305!

CWFC is of course about fitness and playing the game of football but at its heart it’s about community and tonight that came across loud and clear, sharing insightful and supportive information. A fantastic evening, hopefully the first of many.

Finally the team have done an EXTREME DAY TRIP! Dublin and back in the day! The day was full of laughs, giggles and a Guinness or two!

We also swapped 'sh*t hats'! Who wins!!

CWFC we’re back in action yesterday against local team Pool FC. The pouring rain didn’t stop play with both teams looking ready until the haze of the floodlights.

Both half’s were well fought by both teams with star performances from new Goalkeeper Liz and Defender Kirsty!

The game ended as a 0-0 thriller!
