One of the best things you can do on your fitness journey,

Is celebrate the small wins -

The marginal victories,

The gradual milestones you hit along the way.

Because your end goals are always going to take time to achieve,

Which means it’ll be a while before you get to celebrate them.

For example -

Let’s say you want to lose 50, 60, 80, or 100 lbs.

They’re big, impactful goals,

But you’re not going to achieve them in a couple of weeks -

Or even a month (unless you plan on surviving on water and dust).

So it’s going to take time,

Before you can fully embrace and celebrate that end result.

But if you celebrate the smaller wins in the meantime -

The stepping stones,

The little scale drops,

The noticeable changes in your body, confidence, and strength -

You give yourself permission to celebrate along the way.

And those smaller wins - even if they feel minor - are absolutely crucial.

Here’s why:

Imagine you’re stuck in a hole,

And you find a ladder to climb out.

You’re at the bottom,

Your end goal is at the top.

If that ladder only had one step - Right at the very top -

Getting out would be nearly impossible.

But if the ladder has smaller steps,

Between where you are and the exit,

You climb out one step at a time.

That’s exactly what smaller wins do -

They’re the steps that make the big result achievable.

So instead of telling yourself,

“I’ll only be happy when I hit my 5-stone target,”

Start celebrating the progress that gets you there.

Lost a pound? Celebrate.

Improved your squat? Be proud.

Dropped a clothes size? Acknowledge it.

Got a compliment? Take the win.

Small wins are what carry you to big outcomes,

So don’t EVER underestimate them.

They’re the reason you keep going,

Long enough to achieve something life-changing.

Contrary to popular belief, there isn’t one single way to measure progress or success.

Some nobheads will tell you that if you’re not losing weight, you’re not getting results.

Other plebs will claim that if you’re not getting stronger in the gym, you’re not progressing.

But progress isn’t a one-size-fits-all glove -

It comes in a multitude of different forms.

For example:

If someone can fit into their wedding dress from 20 years ago
(and it’s actually too big now),

They’ve made progress.

If someone can carry two boxes of milk, without breathing out of their ar****le,

They’ve made progress.

If someone feels better about their body than they did 10 years ago,

They’ve made progress.

If someone’s getting compliments from friends or praise from peers about how they look and carry themselves,

They’ve made progress.

All of these metrics measure different things,

But they’re all outcomes of results being made.

This is why I always tell my team to use multiple metrics to track their progress -

Progress pictures, body weight, personal bests, strength increases, steps, circumference measurements, etc.

Because if you rely on just one metric - like body weight -

There’s a chance you’re leaving a s**t-tonne of other wins on the table.

You might not have lost weight,

But your body fat may have dropped.

You might not have gone down a clothes size,

But your progress pictures look unreal.

Your circumference measurements might not have changed much,

But you’re fitting into clothes you couldn’t wear a year ago.

Right, I needed an excuse to run a giveaway -

Back when I had to rely solely on my personality to appear appealing to girls,

I assumed that the ONLY way to measure my fitness progress was through either the scales, or via progress pictures.

So I'd start a fitness journey,

Go to the gym a few times,

Attempt to buy a few healthy foods from the nearest Saino's (overpriced bastards),

And crack on.

A few days along the line, I either weighed myself or took some more progress pictures,

Resulting in me being more pi**ed off than Brooklyn Beckham at his wedding, when his mum allegedly started breakdancing (too soon?).

I was pi**ed off, because there was NO visual change,

Either in the pictures,

Or in the scales.

This meant I threw the towel in nice and early,

Because I assumed I wasn't make any progress, whatsoever.

This is a huge issue, in and of itself.

Firstly,

The scales only measure ONE metric: The accumulation of all the 'stuff' within your body.

Muscle, fat, bone, blood, glycogen, literal s**t... All of these add up to produce an arbitrary number on a £10 pair of digital scales from Morrisons.

So I could've lost fat and gained muscle,

But just because I tucked into a gammon steak at 9:31pm the previous evening,

My body thought that it'd be best to retain the weight equivalent to the Irish Sea in water,

Thus meaning my weight will spike a touch.

And when it comes to progress pics,

They aren't gonna change after a few days of lifting or eating well.

You need to give it a few more days, potentially even weeks, before you notice some sort of difference.

Anywho,

The moral of this little tangent is:

You need to widen your scope to what you can use as a metric for progress.

Clothes sizes, how outfits feel, strength, weight, progress pics, day-to-day tasks which feel easier, mindset, relationship with food, relationship with exercise...

All of these metrics are what my clients are using,

And are ultimatley the metrics which I use in these praise-filled posts.

When first joined the team, she was crystal clear on what she wanted:

To go to the gym because she enjoyed it (not because it felt like a chore),

To eat well most of the time without missing out on her favourite foods or social life,

And to finally feel confident in her body when looking in the mirror, or wearing certain outfits.

The issue was that she was stuck in that loop so many people know too well:

❌ Low motivation
❌ Hormonal imbalances making fat loss and building muscle/strength feel impossible
❌ That constant “what’s the point?” feeling after trying and getting nowhere

So when we introduced her to The KP Method, we quickly got to work in fixing this.

And now,

🔥 34lbs (More than two stone!) down
🔥 Down multiple dress sizes
🔥 Stronger than she's ever been, lifting weight she never thought was possible

Because nothing boosts accountability quite like a short ginger bloke telling you to stop being a self-deprecating nob.

But honestly,

That just fuelled the fire.

This isn’t just a “transformation” - It’s a mindset shift, and a complete change to her life.

Caroline is thriving because of it,

And I could NOT be prouder.

The next target is a photoshoot later in the year,

And I can't wait to see where she is by then.

She pops up on my feed a lot - not because I’m playing favourites -

But because every time I do post her, she’s built even more progress a few weeks later.

When Laura first joined the team, she wanted real change.

Some of the people I work with come to me completely burnt out.

They’re showing up to the gym,

And they’re putting in effort.

But the results are where to be seen.

This tends to be because they’re winging it.

No real plan, no structure,

And no way of knowing whether what they’re doing is actually working.

So they stay stuck in that horrible cycle of throwing s**t at the wall and hoping it sticks.

That’s exactly where was before joining the team.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate one of my first, all-time favourite transformations.

When Tori first joined the team, she was completely lost in the world of fitness and fat loss.

Following random YouTube workouts with no structure.

Jumping between s**tty diets that didn’t fit her lifestyle - especially considering how much she loves her social life.

Essentially throwing s**t at the wall and hoping that it would stick.

This resulted in frustration. Zero confidence.

And a growing sense of resentment toward her own body.

That right there,

Another week… another round of absolute worldie wins from the squad.

- Stepped MASSIVELY out of his comfort zone and came to the Christmas social!

Met new people, had a laugh, AND the clothes he wore actually fit him properly. Confidence levelling up like crazy.

UNREAL!

- Spent her first birthday “not fat” (her words, not mine).

But seriously - what an empowering, emotional milestone.

So, so proud of this girl!

- In the best shape he’s ever been in 💪

Happiest he’s been with his body, hitting PBs every week, strength flying, and after a few stressful weeks, his mindset is back in a GREAT place. Elite stuff.

- SIZE. 4. JEANS. And her leather jacket fits comfortably now - the same one she couldn’t get her arms into before.

Two birds with one stone. She is CRUISING.

reps - Had the life-changing realisation that she’s NEVER going back to the old her. Because what she’s doing now is sustainable, fun, and NOT complicated.

The penny has officially dropped - forever.

The smallest visual win that means the BIGGEST transformation. Her consistency is insane.
