Alwoodley Tennis Club Alwoodley Tennis Club provides a relaxed and friendly environment for players of all abilities.

It is a Family Club where everybody is welcome. We offer 2 Hard Courts which were resurfaced in 2012 (one with flood lights). Plans are in hand for a 3rd All Weather Court (planning permissions granted).

Harrison working on keeping his strings closed in his preperation to create spin.
You can see when the strings open as it goes back the shot looks more off balance. When they’re closed he creates loads of spin and stays balanced.

Backhand Preparation with Ella.
Together with Coach Ben they are improving her take back. Making it more simple and not playing around with different preparation techniques. It’s even more important for Ella when the ball comes in slightly harder, and she can maintain her same preparation.

Beautiful rainbow over the club yesterday afternoon! 🌈 Thank you to everyone who came down to the club, there was some fantastic tennis on show from both our juniors and adults.
We even managed to provide some entertainment to the queuing voters 🗳😀.

Yesterday Ella showed off what she can really do when her whole body is used into the shot.
We were working on knee drive and Ella mastered it - brilliant session!
