Every player gave 100% to secure a fantastic 24-4 win.

The welfare of our rugby community is the top priority, and with temperatures rising we would like to highlight some protocols for all our teams. please read our 'safe play guide'

Check out the 4 key steps below for guidance on hydration, rest, and when activities must be paused.

1️⃣ TIMING IS EVERYTHING!

Avoid 11AM - 3PM sessions
Early mornings & late evenings preferred
Prioritize rest & light activities for children

2️⃣ HYDRATE, HYDRATE, HYDRATE!

Arrive hydrated
PLENTY of water available
MANDATORY 2-minute water breaks

3️⃣ REST & INTENSITY!

UTILIZE SHADED AREAS
Reduce intensity where needed
ALLOW extra rest

4️⃣ SAFETY FIRST!

MONITOR for heat stress signs (dizziness, nausea)
STOP ACTIVITY immediately if unwell
Temperature >37°C? ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELLED!

At Oulton Raiders ARLFC , the safety of our players, families and community always comes first 💙💛

Cold water can be extremely dangerous, even on warm days. Rivers, lakes, canals, quarries and the sea can cause cold water shock in minutes.

Please take a moment to talk to your children about staying safe around open water:

✅ Don’t go near water alone
✅ Stay away from edges and slippery banks
✅ Never jump into unknown water
✅ If someone is in trouble – call 999 and throw something that floats

Water is NOT a playground.
