I’ve wanted to see Punch for yonks, but I’m beyond glad and so grateful that I waited to see it in Notts.

James Graham’s affecting piece recounts Jacob Dunne’s actions leading up to, and following, his delivery of one fatal blow that killed James Hodgkinson in a street fight, mere minutes’ walk away from where we’re sat in the Playhouse.

Murder She Didn’t Write is the madcap whodunnit where the audience decide the setting (a masquerade ball in Cambridge, France) the weapon (a humming LightSaber) and crucially, the victim and the murderer.

With nothing but that and adrenaline to run off, the cast scramble to make it all come together, can they improv a murder mystery by the time the clock strikes 9pm..?
