Happy Father’s Day to all the dads involved in Birstall United Football club Hope you all have great day⚪️⚫️

Jim was a truly inspirational figure in grassroots football, particularly within Birstall United Juniors. He was the heart and soul of the club, dedicating countless hours, weeks, and years to its success. Whether tending to the grounds or carrying out his duties as Club Secretary, Jim gave his time selflessly and tirelessly.

What made Jim's commitment even more remarkable was that he had no child playing at the club. He did everything simply for the love of Birstall United. His dedication, passion, and unwavering support helped shape the club into what it is today. Quite simply, Jim was a legend, and without him, the club would not exist in the way it does today.

There are so many stories that could be told about Jim, but one memory that will always stay with me is the pride on his face when the club took on the Meadow Lane site and clubhouse. It was a significant step forward for Birstall United, and Jim was there every step of the way. The joy and pride he felt were clear for all to see.
Jim will be greatly missed by everyone whose lives he touched through the club and the wider football community.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

With the departure of coach Anthony Fenton, we are looking for a coach to join our management team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead training sessions on Thursday evenings and assist on match days. Experience in senior football preferred.

Unfortunately, our season has been cut short by 1 game. This weekends fixture has been cancelled, and we have been awarded the points. The league table has been updated, and we have finished 4 points behind League Champions Kirby Muxloe and 1 point behind runners up Thurmaston DPC. It brings to the end a successful season for the team. Unfortunately, we have fallen short of picking up any silverware. However, We definitely have built something that we can continue to build on going into next season. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the season, those who have sponsored us this season, and especially those who have volunteered for us this season. We will now enjoy a short break before we start to build for the 26/27 season.
