In case you’ve missed it- here’s some darts news from this April!

1. Krzystof Ratajski was ‘in shock’ after being accused of clicking his darts by Danny Knoppert. Tensions rose at the quarter final of the European Darts Grand Prix, with Ratajski sealing a close victory, but the pair shook hands as the game concluded.

2. Darts referee, Huw Ware, was forced to halt a match at the European Darts Grand Prix as a result of an unruly crowd. Gerwyn Price went on to secure a win against Dave Chisnall, when the game continued after a warning was issued to whistling fans.

3. A disgruntled Michael van Gerwen claimed that he would walk away from the sport if he ever lost a game of darts to Michael Unterbuchner. This comment came after the German darts star made a joke at the expense of van Gerwen prior to their European Darts Grand Prix clash.

4. Beau Greaves has made history as the first woman to win a PDC ranking title! The landmark win occurred at the Players Championship 11 final. Greaves won 8-7 against Michael Smith with a brilliant 142 checkout.

5. Gerwyn Price won his second night of the Darts Premier League, owing his victory to relief at completing the sale on his new farm.

6. After his groundbreaking performance at this year's World Championship, David Munyua is set to meet Kenya’s president, to discuss how darts can be improved in his country. He has hopes that his success will have positive effects in Kenya, and facilitate darts bringing people together.

7. Darts icon, Wayne Mardle, has sent words of warning to Luke Littler following recent spats with darts crowds. The pundit referenced both Peter Manley and Gerwyn Price in his words of advice, stating that whether intended or not, antagonising spectators rarely ends well.

8. The theme of unruly crowds at darts events continues, with Stephen Bunting urging spectators to stop whistling during matches, explaining that distracting players at important moments can cost players thousands of pounds.

9. Charlie Manby has opened up about quitting his job as a bricklayer, after his success at the World Championship earlier this year. His rapid rise and career change has taken some getting used to, but his success is continuing after earning a PDC tour card and signing a deal with Target.

10. Phil Taylor has revealed that his decision to retire from darts was influenced by darts crowds becoming ‘not what they used to be’, specifically the atmosphere at the 2013 World Matchplay, during his match with Terry Jenkins.

Current world number 35, “Hawkeye”, recently won the 2026 Players Championship 13, his first ever PDC ranking title. In his youth career he was champion at three PDC Development Tours.
