Asfordby Amateurs Ladies, Girls & Inclusive FC From Kick-About to Kick-Ass! ⚽
What started as a sociable kick-about in August 1999 has grown into something truly special!

Thanks to our brilliant chairlady Sharon Reason, we've gone from scrambling for 11 players on boggy pitches to becoming one of the biggest girls and women's football clubs in Leicestershire and beyond.

25 years on, we're 250+ girls and women strong across 20 teams - including our amazing Inclusive section running for 20 years! We welcome players aged 4 to 18+ of all abilities. Every volunteer is DBS checked with relevant FA qualifications (Level 1-3), plus Safeguarding, Player Welfare and First Aid. Run by the community, for the community - it's what makes us special! Training at Long Field Spencer Academy (summer) and John Ferneley College's floodlit 3G (winter). Home matches at Long Field for juniors, Holwell Sports & Social Club for adults. Come join our football family - it's been quite the journey from those baggy kits and boggy beginnings!

That’s the final few reports from another busy Sunday of girls’ football, with plenty of effort, determination and teamwork on show. 🌟👏

💎 U14 Gems
A tough game against a very strong Kilworth side, but our girls were brilliant and battled so well throughout. They showed great character, created chances and really looked like getting something from the game. 🌟👏

⚽️ U18 Diamonds
A really tough day for the girls, with a difficult second half after putting everything into a brilliant first half. With no substitutes, they had given everything and it became a tough final spell. They showed heart though and will be back next week for that team picture! 💪

💙 More Sunday Match Reports⚽️

⚽️ U12’s
A great performance against a very good Anstey side. The girls were unlucky not to get more from the game, especially after a brilliant second half. So many positives and some amazing individual performances. The girls did us proud! 🌟👏

⚽️ U13’s
110% effort from every girl! 👏 After going in behind at half time, the girls kept applying constant pressure off the ball, combined with great passing and wide play, to produce the comeback they deserved. 💪🌟

💎 U14 Diamonds
The girls kept going and worked incredibly hard, never giving up and giving everything until the final whistle. 👏🔥

⚽️ U15’s
A fantastic team effort today, especially in the heat and with no substitutes. The girls showed great communication, listened to each other and played more as a unit.

Great pressing, strength, passing and teamwork throughout. 🌟💪

SUNDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER | MATCHDAY ROUND UP⚽️

💎 U18 DIAMONDS
What a response from the Diamonds! A high-energy first half saw the girls play with confidence, smiles and some beautiful flowing football. 🙌

With the game under control, they mixed things up in the second half, trying new positions and formations while still keeping a clean sheet. 💪

💙 U18 SAPPHIRES
A fantastic first win for the Sapphires! Brilliant to see the girls working hard for each other and enjoying their football throughout. 👏

What a Sunday for our U18s! Keep pushing, keep developing and keep enjoying your football!🩵

💙 U13s
A frustrating afternoon for the U13s, with a few mistakes proving costly. The scoreline didn’t really reflect the effort, chances and overall game. Plenty to take forward and we’ll go again next week! 💪

💎 U14 DIAMONDS
A really entertaining game away at Bingham, with both teams producing some brilliant football and some fantastic goals. A great game for the girls to be involved in! 👏⚽️

It was also one of our girls’ birthdays, so the team finished the afternoon with a little post-match celebration! 🎉🩵

A great team performance from the U15s, showing plenty of teamwork, effort and togetherness. 👏

Another Sunday of football, fun and memories made! Bring on next weekend!⚽️🙌
