🥊 WHAT A WEEKEND FOR THE UNIT ABC! 🥊
Sorry we’re just getting round to posting this after what has been a really, really busy weekend for everyone at The Unit ABC — but what a weekend it was! 💪🥊
We had 9 of our boxers out competing, with an outstanding 7 out of 9 coming away with the win! 👏🔥
Every single boxer who stepped through those ropes absolutely smashed it and did themselves, their coaches and The Unit ABC proud. The level of technique, fitness, composure and ring IQ on display was brilliant to see. All those hard rounds, early mornings, late nights and hours spent grafting in the gym are paying off.
A special mention has to go to wee Aria Ferguson, who unfortunately never got the chance to box after her opponent pulled out just 20 minutes before the weigh-in. She was absolutely gutted, and we were gutted for her, especially knowing how much hard work and preparation she’d put into getting herself ready.
Keep that wee head held high, Aria. Your time will come, and all that hard work you’re putting in at the gym will make it even sweeter when it does. 🥊💚🖤
A massive thank you to Doonhammers Boxing Club for having us along to their show and making us feel so welcome, and also a big thank you to Kynoch Boxing. Opportunities like these are massively appreciated and allow our boxers to keep learning, developing and gaining valuable experience.
Of course, 7 wins from 9 is a fantastic result, but as coaches we’re even prouder of the way every one of our boxers represented the club. Win, lose or draw, it’s about giving everything you’ve got, listening, learning and showing what you’ve worked on in the gym — and every one of them did exactly that. 👏
The coaches are extremely proud of the whole team. The standard in the gym keeps rising, the hard work continues, and we’re excited to see what’s ahead for this brilliant wee team.
