In Search of Stillness. A piece of art a moment in time. Crystallised in the crystal eyes, catching the colours of your eyes, as you perceive. A scene from a still life pond that you gaze upon, that’s the stillness out there, and it’s very beautiful thats true and may it move you, truly.
But what of the other side. What if… you could project that perfect picture of stillness, that winning photograph and your perfect eyes could find the perfect smile, every time?
What if… The beauty and the stillness, were found on the inside.

Yep, we are here. Here we are. Mirror shimmering an ocean of gentle reminders, a kinder life. In a city that consumes I choose not another fast food. The booze that oozes into the boots to numb the commutes. The cold corridor. I ask for more. Not more to consume but wider fields, boundless spaces where chasing wild rivers with friends comes as easy as the breeze. I pray the impetus never leaves. We don’t consume culture, we participate in it. Init… You know?
Thursday 3rd Sept: Join us for a rare full day Lomi Lomi Hawaiian massage workshop with Slow & Aware, the multi-award winning Hawaiian massage community “one of the best massages in London” Time Out.
Day Joy, Laura Merri and the community have evolved what can only be described as one of the most sublime approaches to Lomi Lomi - the radically slow, multi-handed ceremonial massage, which they call Lomi Lohi, Lohi meaning slow.
Imagine the slow strokes the way you pet your cat, delivered through massage, filled with the kind of attention and care of an artist sculptor, with the intention to send you into sublime, deep nervous system regulation.
Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaiian healing practice and massage that uses long, flowing, rhythmic strokes.
The slow, multi-handed Lomi Lomi is a take on the traditional Hawaiian massage where two or more practitioners work on your body simultaneously in perfectly synchronized, wave-like motions. Attuning to each other… and you.
With two or more people massaging you at the same time, your brain cannot track or predict where the next touch will come from, which “shuts off” the analytical mind, leading to extreme, deep relaxation, ultimately down regulation.
In pre-contact Hawaii, Lomi Lomi was practiced by highly revered masters called Kahuna Lapaʻau (healers) and Kahuna Lomi Lomi (massage experts). Dan and Laura lived on Maui where they immersed in not only the practices, but also the culture of this ancient art.
Slow & Aware is a community, Dan and Laura teach the full immersion and alumni of their courses stay connected through regular meet ups where they share and receive the massage, making this historic art form accessible to more people.

You can expect hands on learning + receiving. Bring friends + partners or come solo to experience this rare and special gathering. During the second part of our time we will practice together carrying out multi-handed ceremonial massages on each other.
There will be oils, bring towels and loose clothes that you don’t mind getting oil on.

A full afternoon gathering in the forest as part of the Buck Moon.
A conceptual walking sound journey as we walk beneath the trees outwards into the silence of the forest.
A way to connect with nature and with like minds.
A live embodiment of the deer through a silent forest solo and vision quest.
And then return to the glade for movement, yoga and connection set to live music.
Closing with a forest gong bath and sharing picnic.

A SOUND JOURNEY - LIVE - Introducing Garwyn + Joe
// July 23rd, Garwyn Linnell and Sound Travels return to the journey together.
This is more than a sound bath, it is a musical sound journey where listeners are invited to drop into deeper states, listen laying down, seated or if you feel inspired to move.
Cello, voice, Tibetan bowls, flutes, drums from Mongolian, Altai and an array of other traditions that span the world’s ceremonial soundscapes — woven into a journey of sound.
There is nothing to do here but receive. Lie down, sit, move gently, or be still.
This is a space to be in communion with the vibrational world, to come back to yourself and let the sound reorganize and reset mind, body and spirit.
This is the first in what we intend to be a regular gathering at Yoga in the Stars.
A space held regularly for those who know that sound is not entertainment — it is medicine, and sometimes, it is the only language that lands.
Come ready to go inward - or outward, or wherever the sound takes you.

As the Leo Sun stands opposite the Aquarius Moon, we’re invited to explore one of life’s greatest balances: honouring the unique aspects within us while remembering that we were never meant to walk this path alone.
The Buck Moon reminds us that growth may not be comfortable, but it is always calling us forth. Keep growing.
The Aquarius Full Moon reminds us that change and healing doesn’t always happen alone. Sometimes it happens around a fire, or beneath ancient trees, surrounded by people who are also choosing ther same.
