What is a Little Free Library? It’s a “take a book, return a book” gathering place where neighbors and passers by share their favorite literature and stories. In its most basic form, a Little Free Library is a box full of books where anyone may stop by and pick up a book (or two) and bring back another book to share. Turns out in the UK, Walthamstow has 12 little free library's, little did we know
the area was such a pioneer! Anyway, now we've taken the 13th spot. We guess for some 13 is unlucky, but really it's quite a special number. According to wikipedia; 13 (thirteen /θɜrˈtiːn/) is the natural number following 12 and preceding 14.
13 also is a total of 1 Prophet and 12 Imams in the Shia school of thought. In Christianity there is 1 Messiah and 12 disciples. The number 13 had been considered sinister and wicked in ancient Iranian civilization and Zoroastrianism.
