I'm thinking it's time for another social. How would people feel about a Saturday or Sunday afternoon meet up, with or without bikes, depending on your preferences?

The famous C2C2C ride opens for registration today, 100 miles round lovely Lincolnshire, over to the coast and back. Thursday 2nd July 2020, £36.50 including all your feed stations, BBQ and beer at the end and a goody bag. Starts and finishes at Nettleham Rugby Club and there is a Hello Velo team if you want to join us, four people are in the team already.
The team name is Hello Velo Lincolnshire and the password is yellowbelly.

We'll be organising social rides, some distance and hill practices over the next five months, so you've all got lots of time to get prepared for the big day. It was one of the highlights of my cycling year last year. Come and join us?

We started 2020 in fine style today with a long, gently paced ride round Lincolnshire. Ace coffee and cake at Ruskington Garden Centre and a warm welcome at the Hare & Hounds in Fulbeck. The next social ride will be in a couple of weeks time, probably a short Saturday ride or a longer Sunday ride.

Details of our social ride to celebrate the autumnal equinox on Sunday 22nd September.

Thanks to everyone for being part of a fabulous evening at Mansions on Tuesday. We talked gearing, nutrition, inspiration, hills and bike choices. We swapped jerseys, tools, cleaning stuff, road kit and shorts. We discussed "fouf" cream, nut butters and other intimate apparel. We laughed like drains, ate half a tonne of grapes between us and demolished some exceptionally good rocky road, thanks to Tiggy Willow.

The next couple of socials will look at winter riding, preparedness and using apps (as well as maps) for route planning. We'll also be getting a professional in to work with us on stretching and bodywork off the bike to keep us limber.

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon - the next socials will be Tuesday October 8th, Tuesday 12th November and Tuesday 10th December!

Just a quick heads up about the Social on Tuesday 10th - we will be in the Mansions building as usual, but it's the dark brown building, and the door is on the left (on the left hand side of the image on the event photo) and up one flight of stairs to our meeting room. There's an arts happening in our usual room. However, being upstairs gives us more room and a spare side room if people want to try on gear that they're swapping. There are toilets and a kitchen upstairs, it's a very lovely and beautiful room. The HelloVelo sign will be on the door as usual to direct you!
