The U16 Stripes were knocked out of the Lancashire County Cup this morning but it wasn’t for trying. They all put a shift in today and were unlucky to not get the result.

⚽️💛Match Review💙⚽️

Today we play Borras Park Rangers from Wrexham, at the San Siro. It was another strong performance from the team today. They have really gelled collectively and give 100% for each other. In the first 1/3 we did not get the outcomes we deserved but the lads dug in and got their rewards later in the game.

A special mention to today’s captain Crae. He’s been unbelievable for the past few weeks. He has upped his work rate recently, and this, combined with his excellent passing and shooting has sent his performances through the roof! Well done Crae!!

Great performance today from the Under 15 blues in a thrilling 3-3 draw against B Pro’s Tornadoes. The Tornadoes took an early lead mid first half but Blues soon fought back, after a slick dummy from Ashton Howson, striker Harry Milburn read the dummy, collected the ball and rounded a defender before calmly slotting into the bottom corner. Just minutes later a loose ball fell to midfielder Jenson Whitehouse who in an instant spotted the keeper off his line and fired in from the halfway line for a goal of the season contender. Not to be outdone, moments later winger Josh Hartley collected a loose ball outside the edge of the box and curled it superbly into the top corner to make it 3-1 to Boro. Second half the opposition rallied and after a wicked deflection to make it 3-2, their tails were up and they managed to sneak an equaliser. Thanks to some excellent goalkeeping from Dylan Marshall and some last ditch defending the Blues survived the onslaught and were lucky not to nick the winner near the end of a thrilling game with a point a piece a fair result for both sides.

Awards this week:
🏆 ⭐️ Star Player — Harry Strong first match of the season. Excellent defending, power and passing.
🏆🟢🟡🔵 Team Player — Bobby Great work ethic and a brilliant goal. Could easily have had more.
🏆🔵🟡 Manager’s Player — Logan Outstanding performance throughout. Fully deserved.
We faced a brand‑new team (again) who have likely been levelled a bit too low. Our first half cost us. But the other halves we showed real improvement and we created chances that on another day would have gone in.
This is a new level, and we’ll keep improving, keep trying.
We’ll keep working on passing and pressing in training. The results will come.
Great effort today, STRIPES we go again next week. Coach out. 🔵🟡⚽️

So it's been a tough 6 months for Zak from u15 yellows 💛 but today Zak rang the the bell with his amazing family and great friends!
