Delayed my session since late this afternoon cause I felt tired and new it was a Cardio only day.
So being the geek I am, who loves some data😅
I’ve set myself “Zone” Targets and I’m pretty happy with todays session targets!
The point in this post is if you dread something and postpone it all day, try to find something fun in it or set yourself Targets. They don’t have to be zonal it can be distance covered/time and try and beat YOUR previous result.

So for the past couple of days I haven’t felt up to doing much, I’d do my gym session but I’d shy away from my steps and cardio / tracking my food/calories properly purely cause I couldn’t be bothered. No other reason.
Today is a new day and the past is in the past.
No point dwelling on it so I’m not.
So today I went to the gym and PUSHED myself with my cardio and I can honestly say I felt great walking out of the gym.
Why am I telling you this?
Well I haven’t posted for a while😅
No I’m kidding..
This is a reminder that I didn’t go to the gym with the intentions of punishing myself for having a few “off” days.
I went with the intentions of gradually getting myself in and going again.
For me, your wording and mentality is vital.
So if this is something you’ve done and felt you need to punish yourself in the gym or avoid foods you love, my advice will be DON’T.
Chances are you will fall off again but a lot sooner.
Go to the gym, do what you need to do, eat what you want to (within reason/calories) and go again.
This is NOT me “starting over”
This is NOT me failing
This IS me continuing with no stress and worries and looking forward to the next one.

ENJOY your weekend!

📉| ONLINE CLIENT
My client came to me off the back of just doing classes and not seeing changes.
She was very stuck in her routine of work and classes and didn’t do much outside of that other than her job which is active.
We adjusted her training schedule and introduced new habits to hit both moving and nutrition.
We increased her step count, increased her protein and introduced her to the gym equipment, lifting weights and using functional equipment!
In just 4 weeks my client dropped 3.5kg in Body Fat and sky rocketed in confidence walking in and around the gym and using the equipment!
Looking forward to seeing her next steps!👏🏻🙌

Andddd that’s a wrap.
What a 4 years it’s been but I wouldn’t of want it to be at any other Gym.
If I had to pick a best part, it would be the people I’ve met and memories I’ve made.
I’ve made friends for life and I’ll genially miss you all so much!
Thank you to everyone (staff and members) who’s made my last month so enjoyable and for all the kind words/messages and gifts. I’ve never felt so loved🥰 but I appreciate every single one.
Until I come back for visits and/or to train (or annoy the PTs)…
So long Aintree 💙

8 MOST COMMON 'DIET' MISTAKES...
I've valued these as my own personal opinion on common mistakes when it comes to 'dieting'.
1. Not eating enough calories.
People are afraid to eat a lot as they fear getting fat.
However
I must add;
When you don't eat enough, you burn muscle tissue not fat
Therefore your goal is not being achieved by under-eating.
2. Having cheat days over re-feed days
This just leads to eating hundreds if not thousands of empty calories in an uncontrolled way
Throwing off your results
3. Not eating enough vegetables can lead to feeling fatigued.
Vegetables are a carbohydrate source so they give us energy.
Lacking in these may lead to feeling run down.
4. Not measuring properly
This can be the difference between 100kcal of nut butter or 300kcal
Make sure when you are weighing your food and logging it onto an app it is the correct serving so you are not putting yourself out in terms of calories.
5. WATER
Drink it!!
So many people say they struggle drinking water
Yet nail 2-3 500ml of fizzy drinks.
Water also helps us feel fuller for longer so try having a glass before/with every meal and this should reduce hunger.
6. PATIENCE.
PATIENCE IS KEY!!!
Do not expect change after 1 meal
Habits take a while to sustain
Keep at it
Don't binge eat
Don't under eat
Eat enough protein and calories for your desired goal and your results will follow.
DON’T turn to fad diets or quick fixes.
It's time to learn that things worth having, takes time.
7. Thinking fruit gets you fat;
"but it’s full of sugar"
“Carbs make you fat”
Natural sugars and carbs are ENERGY.
Energy helps fuel sessions which all in all
Helps reach
Yep, you guessed it:
YOUR GOAL.
8. Believing any one food will burn fat.
This ones a tickler 😂
Adding mushrooms into every meal and snack because slimming world told you they are 'speed' food that help with your metabolism.😩
No one single food will help burn fat
Reducing your calories and being in a A CALORIE DEFICIT will make you lose fat.
If you feel you relate to any of these
Don't worry most people do.
The power of social media ay🙄
If you want any nutrition support - feel free to drop me a message!
